Modern Warfare 2 boasts various weapons with various loadouts, perks, and attachments for players to build a beast that matches their play style. Most players customize their MW2 weapons with skins, charms, and stickers, creating exceptional mastery camos to showcase their shining personalities.

However, players go through all the trouble and hours of playtime to complete COD challenges and unlock camos such as Ghoulie but don’t get a moment to admire the beauty of the weapons they’ve created. Inspection allows players to check the mechanisms and blueprints of their weapons while flexing on enemies. They can closely examine the decals and customizations while appreciating the beauty.

Weapon Inspection In Modern Warfare 2

Inspecting Modern Warfare 2 weapons varies depending on the platform a player uses to access the game. For Xbox and Playstation players, on the D-pad, hold left to inspect the weapon. For Mouse and Keyboard gamers, press the “I” key on the keyboard to get an in-depth look at the weapon. PC players can change the key bind for Inspect from “I” to their preferred letter. Simply navigate to the in-game settings and switch the inspect key to another letter, like “K.”

Once a player triggers the inspect option, the COD operator starts moving the customized camo from side to side to side, showcasing every angle. This includes the camo on it, the magazine, and the gun’s body.

Players should never inspect a weapon while in combat or during a match. If a foe appears, the player’s MW2 operator will take time to lower the weapon to get ready to shoot, and the opponent can take advantage of this to shoot and kill. Instead, only inspect weapons before a match begins or when they’re out of sight.

Why Inspect Weapons?

Weapon inspection allows players to identify any anomalies or changes they want to make to their weapons. For example, they can investigate whether a skin fits their play style or taste, which is quite helpful for those planning to buy a new skin for their camo. By seeing a preview of how the weapon looks with the skin, they can decide whether or not to buy it.

Weapon inspection also ensures players can see all sides and angles of the weapon for admiration. It’s a great way to pass the time when nothing is happening in-game. With the MW3 campaign early access starting soon, players can now inspect their weapons and their customization easily.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
