Clash Royale allows players to gather magic items once they reach King Tower level 4. All magic items can be collected from chests, Pass Royale rewards, Trophy Road, Tournaments, Events, and Shop Offers. These items are not easy to come across and have limits depending on the player's king tower level.
When a player goes over the limit, they receive gold or gems depending on the item. Players can even do this by buying items in the shop that they have already reached the limit of. Using these items effectively is great for any player who would like to make it higher on the ladder and unlock the full roster of cards.

Wild Cards
Wild cards can be exchanged for any card of the player's choosing, given that they have already unlocked it. This is extremely valuable because if the card a player covets never seems to be opened in chests, they can just work towards upgrading specific cards by collecting enough wild cards to bring them to the next level. Wild cards can be used for any rarity of cards.

Book of Cards
A book of cards is an item that allows players to select a single card and receive the necessary card to bring it to the next level. This item cannot be used on cards that have already reached the requirement for an upgrade. These books are also available for any card rarity. However, the book of cards, which can be used for any champion card, can also be used for any other rare card. These items also don't get an increase in the inventory limit and cap out at 1 unless purchased through shop offers. If the limit is exceeded, the extra book will be converted to 100 gems regardless of rarity.
Chest Key
The chest key is a very straightforward item. It can be used to instantly open any chest received through ladder wins. This is especially helpful for the rarer chests that may take up to a full day to open. This also saves players the need to use or even purchase gems to instantly open chests to make room for the 4 chest slots.
When the limit of keys is exceeded, the player will be rewarded with 100 gold. With this, players are advised to keep track of the chest keys because using them on any chest is far more valuable than receiving 100 gold.

Card Boost Potion
Card Boost Potions are similar to the Pass Royale level boost. The potion will match all cards to the level of the user's king tower. This, however, will only last an hour and is very useful when trying out decks with a card that the player may want to focus on leveling up but may not have enough gold to get it to a competitive level yet. This item has a max inventory of 8 and provides 500 gold when it overflows. This item can be found in the shop's offers and even as a reward in events.
Elite Wild Card
Essentially, Elite Wild Cards are for players who want to take their cards from level 14 to elite level 15. Elite wild cards have many ways for players to earn and use them. Wild Shard
WIld Shards can be used to bring out the maximum potential of certain cards with the use of evolution. Players may hold up to 6 evolution shards and use them for any cards that may be evolved.
