The latest raid has arrived to Destiny 2 and the first clan has already managed to dive into the six-player activity and come out victorious after hours of high-intensity gameplay and puzzle solving. Coming in for a back-to-back win, the clan that has beaten the Vow of the Disciple race first has been confirmed by Bungie to be Elysium.

While the World First has already been claimed by Elysium, players can still pick up the Day 1 Vow of the Disciple emblem for an additional 24 hours beyond the original end date. However, the coveted title of being the first six players to make it through Destiny 2's newest raid is out of the running within only hours of the launch of this high-level activity.

The confirmation from Bungie came only nine-hours after the launch of the Vow of the Disciple, which is made especially impressive with the connectivity issues Destiny 2's new raid faced when it released. Considering that some more casual clans can take days to complete their first attempts on some of Destiny's raids, even with guides to walk them through the puzzles, single-digit hours is quite impressive. Adding to this incredible feat is the fact that the winning clan, Elysium, had already previously won the World First for the Beyond Light expansion's raid, Deep Stone Crypt.

Even though the race may have been mired by select issues after the launch of Vow of the Disciple, many of the players who participated commented on the quality of the puzzles and fights they faced. One example comes from Elysium member Saltagreppo, who claims that the final boss of the raid was one of the best experiences from Destiny 2 so far. So, it appears that the players participating in this race have a great deal of appreciation for Bungie and the work that went into designing these encounters that act as the cap for The Witch Queen expansion.

With the skill that Elysium is bringing to these World First races, it's entirely possible that this back-to-back streak of victories could continue into whatever Bungie gets prepared for the next raid. For now, the rest of the player base can take some tips on preparing for Vow of the Disciple from Elysium's victory and strive for their own attempts at Destiny 2's newest raid. As is often the case for raid releases, players can also expect to see new strategies being developed over the coming weeks, with flawless and minimal-party runs sure to come soon from the game's top players.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
