Glenn is an extremely powerful character in Chrono Cross, especially when he is equipped with two Einlanzer swords. Indeed, it is possible for Glenn to dual wield, and players that are interested in assembling the best party in Chrono Cross should put their efforts toward making that happen. This guide is here to assist with that endeavor, and fans that read on should have no trouble getting their hands on the second Einlanzer.

To note, it is only possible for Glenn to dual wield Einlanzer swords if a player has recruited him. In order to recruit Glenn, fans must refuse to take an active role in saving Kid in Chrono Cross, a decision that comes up after the initial trip to Viper Manor. If a player instead opted to help save Kid at that point in the game, obtaining the second Einlanzer will have to wait for a subsequent playthrough.

Chrono Cross: Dual Wield Glenn Guide

Recruit Riddel

The first step toward allowing Glenn to dual wield is to recruit Riddel. Fortunately, she is not a missable character in Chrono Cross, and players should simply progress the game's main story until she offers her assistance.

Get the Memento Pendant

After recruiting Riddel, players should put Karsh in their parties and make their way to the Isle of the Damned (Another World). Fans should now follow the path that they took previously in Home World's version of this dungeon and fight Solt and Peppor at the end. Defeating these foes will yield Chrono Cross's Memento Pendant.

Go to Forbidden Island (Home World) and Beat Boss

Players can now put Riddel into their parties, sail to the Forbidden Island (Home World), enter the house that is built there, and speak with the man inside to initiate a battle. For full clarity, the precise position of the relevant island can be seen on the map that is above, and it is highly recommended that players equip the Black Plate for the fight. That armor piece, which Fargo can Pillage from the Black Dragon, makes beating this boss much easier.

Go to Shrine in Termina (Another World)

At this point, fans should continue progressing through the game until they once again have access to Glenn. Players should then put Glenn into their parties, press the relevant input to make him leader, and confirm that he has the first of Chrono Cross's Einlanzer swords equipped. When all of that has been done, players should head to the shrine area in Termina (Another World), which is one screen right and one screen down from the entrance, and interact with the Einlanzer that is stuck into the ground.
