Generally, throwing is frowned upon as it brings the entire team down instead of affecting only one person. Strangely, in Chivalry 2, the same is true, although rather than losing the match, the object thrown has the potential to bring down multiple enemies depending on what's being thrown. Whether it be a weapon, the head of an enemy, or any object otherwise, throwing is a pretty significant tip for beginners in Chivalry 2. This guide will go into the basics.

For those new to the game, Chivalry 2 is a multiplayer-only game akin to Mordhau. That is, it's a medieval hack and slash game that pits two teams against one another in glorious combat. With several classes and subclasses and various maps, Chivalry 2 is easy to get lost in after a couple of hours. That said, it would be unfortunate if players couldn't get a little creative with how they engage one another.

How To Throw In Chivalry 2

Some weapons in Chivalry 2 are, of course, meant to be thrown, such as the Javelin. However, players might not know right away how anything can be thrown. Furthermore, some players may want to return fire if they manage to dodge or crouch in time and avoid taking the hit. To throw in Chivalry 2, players need to press the left and right bumpers simultaneously. For PC players, all they'll need to do is press G. If those controls don't exactly fit in, players also have the ability to customize their controls in the Keybinding section of the menu.

What's worth noting is that players can throw any item they currently have equipped. Chivalry 2 players are undoubtedly aware that nearly everything can be picked up as an item, no matter how silly. This can make for some hilarious moments, such as throwing a detached skull, a wheelbarrow wheel, a pumpkin, or even barrels for multi-kills. In other words, chivalry in medieval combat is long dead, but only in favor of creating some entertaining kill-cams.

The great thing about Chivalry 2 is that it came with crossplay on release. Everyone can enjoy throwing all kinds of objects at one another, regardless of their system of choice. It's almost a given, as the battlefields in Chivalry 2 are huge enough to hold 64 players. At least half of those players will be ready to throw whatever they can to achieve victory, and it never hurts to be the first to throw.

Chivalry 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
