The creator behind the smash-hit anime Chainsaw Man posted a very interesting Tweet over the weekend, promoting the manga of one of his assistants. This alone is not special or unique, as he is just giving back to someone that is helping him on his own manga by using his reach on social media to promote her. It's the content of her manga is what sets this news apart, because her work happens to be gay porn. That's right, Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of Chainsaw Man, asked all of his Twitter following to read gay porn. Fujimoto's art assistant, Eris Sino, who works on the background art in the Chainsaw Man manga, just had her work published in a manga anthology magazine. The magazine is "boys' love" themed, which is the designation for stories about young, gay men. Her work also has an R-18 rating, which in Japan signifies it to have explicit content; in the context of boys' love manga, that means sex.RELATED: Chainsaw Man's Unexpected Human HeartFujimoto posted on his Twitter a promotion for the work, retweeting Sino's work along with a link to view a preview of the full magazine. His tweet, translated into English, reads "This is a read-through of the assistant who is helping with the background of Chainsaw Man. It's R18, but it's interesting, so please read it. Thank you." Fujimoto is already known for posting some unexpected things on his Twitter, on which he uses a fake name and a bio that says he is an elementary school girl, but this promotional was heart-warming in its own special way.

Not only is Fujimoto using his social media presence to promote Sino's work to his 767,000 followers, he is showing that he is an LGBT+ ally as well. After all, he does not say anything about the fact that the porn is gay, just that it is explicit. A lot of followers and fans on Twitter have taken this to mean that Fujimoto is on the side of the gay community.

Even more hilarious than the whole situation has been the response from fans. Many fans have retweeted the work as well, and said that they are going to read gay porn for the first time in their lives because Fujimoto asked them to. Fujimoto's goal was to promote his assistant's work, and he has more than achieved that by bringing people that normally would not ever read boys' love in to read her manga!

And who knows, maybe some of those fans will have a whole new genre to love! Boys' love is incredibly popular in Japan, especially for fan-drawn and explicit manga and doujinshi. At least it will be an easy new hobby for Chainsaw Man fans to get into while they wait for the next season of the anime to air. We wish Eris Sino lots of luck with her new manga publication!
