Netflix announced today that its hit animated series Castlevania will be returning for a fourth season. The show is based on the popular video game series of the same name, but over the last three seasons the show has taken on a life of its own, and introduced many new fans to the Castlevania universe.

The announcement came by a series of tweets from the official Netflix Twitter account. The first one announced that Sir Mirror, a mirror that in the series can show the location of anyone, had an announcement to make. The second tweet was a GIF, which when clicked on, showed Sir Mirror assembling, followed by words "Season Four Is Coming." The mirror played a large roll in the most recent season of Castlevania, which started streaming on Netflix this month, so it makes sense that it would be involved in the rollout of the next season.

The series has quickly found success among Netflix's audience, with many critics pointing favorably to its dark tone, interesting characters, and surprisingly witty sense of humor. Season three of Castlevania ended with a number of unanswered questions, which has left many fans eager for more episodes. Netflix has yet to announce the release date for the next season, but considering that there was a year and a half gap between the last two seasons, it could be a while.

Castlevania is available now on Netflix.
