Like previous Nintendo handhelds and consoles in the past, the Nintendo Switch has become a hugely popular platform for releases and ports of RPG titles, with some western RPG titles making their Nintendo platform debut on the console. Due to the system's online capabilities, the Nintendo Switch has also become a surprisingly successful platform for MMORPGs, with many Japanese and western titles finding huge popularity with Nintendo's audience. Now, developer Aiming has announced that it is bringing Caravan Stories to Nintendo Switch.

The port was announced during an anniversary live stream, in which the developer briefly discussed plans to bring the title to the Nintendo Switch in the future, however no release window was announced. Caravan Stories is free-to-play, meaning players can jump in for free once downloading the client from the Nintendo eShop upon its release.

While no information has been revealed for when to expect Caravan Stories on the Nintendo Switch, it will join a bevvy of Nintendo eShop MMO titles such as Warframe, Dauntless, DC Universe Online, and Japanese-only titles such as Dragon Quest 10 and Phantasy Star Online 2, which are currently inaccessible to the rest of the world.

Thankfully, when Caravan Stories does release on Nintendo Switch, fans won't have to wait long for the game's western release, as the game already hit western PS4s in 2019, following its original mobile launch in Asia in 2017. Despite being an MMORPG, many who have already played the PlayStation 4 release have claimed that Caravan Stories plays more like a single-player RPG, similar to the recently released Genshin Impact.

Caravan Stories is available now on PlayStation 4, the Nintendo Switch release has no release window yet.
