When you make a ton of games though, not all of them are winners. Even the best game companies have made some titles with terrible ratings on Metacritic. So we have listed the five best rated and the five worst rated video games Capcom has made via their Metacritic scores.

10 Best: Street Fighter Alpha 3 (93)

Made for the original PlayStation, this 2D fighting game came out in 1999. Critics and players alike have said that they see it as the best 2D fighting game out there due to its extra modes, speedy movement, many characters, and many combos. Some reviews have also claimed that its entertaining with just one player, which not all fighting games can say about themselves.

The 2D art is definitely nostalgia-inducing and it made the colors pop. Besides Metacritic, this game has near perfect ratings in publications like GamesSpot, Eurogamer, and IGN.

9 Worst: Final Fight: Streetwise (42)

While this game was also on the PlayStation 2, its lowest score was for its Xbox version. It series, Final Fight, and is a sequel to the third game. It was a major fall from grace, as the original Final Fight game was well-loved.

Many believe that Streetwise killed the Final Fight franchise. Fans of the original have warned others to stay away from this game if they love the series, as it can ruin it for them.

8 Best: Devil May Cry (94)

This game began one of Capcom's most successful franchises in 2001. It is one of the genres the company does the best: survival horror. It was one of the best hack-and-slash games of its time and is often compared to God of War in terms of its mechanics. Originally, Devil May Cry was going to be a Resident Evil game but Capcom decided to cut its ties with the Resident Evil franchise and give the game its own life.

To this day, Devil May Cry influences video games with its legacy. It is a standard to which other games are measured.

7 Worst: Resident Evil: Survivor (39)

While Resident Evil is one of Capcom's biggest franchises, that does not necessarily mean every Resident Evil game is pure gold. Fans of the survival horror series would say this game is an offense to its title.

What fans hated included terrible graphics, awful story, and that it can be beaten in just four hours. If you get rid of the Resident Evil bits, this game is just a brain-dead first-person shooter.

6 Best: Street Fighter IV (94)

Street Fighter IV was released in 2009 for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Ipad. Its best score is for the PlayStation 3 version. The game was popular enough to get its own movie, Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind, and a comic book miniseries. It also got updated versions such as Super Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition,  and Ultra Street Fighter IV.

The game also won Best Fighting Game of the Year in the Game Critic Awards, Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, and Golden Joystick Awards.

5 Worst: Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor (38)

Released in 2012, this game served as a sequel to Steel Battalion and Steel Battalion: Line of Contact. It was for the Xbox 360 and put the franchise downhill. The original games were well received, but this one was widely criticized.

The major reason that this game flopped was that it required a Kinect sensor. The game was almost unplayable due to the Kinect senors having issues picking up the players' movements. Players died a lot and the checkpoints were so far from each other that is was a frustrating mess.

Yes, this title is originally Nintendo's. However, Capcom and Nintendo worked together in the development of the 2002 Gameboy Advance version. Now that version sits pretty on Metacritic as one of Capcom's best games.

Like most Legend of Zelda games, this one was a hit for its beautiful soundtrack, whimsical story, and entertaining gameplay. Capcom may owe this victory mostly to Nintendo, but it is interesting to see that they had a hand in this particular Zelda game.

3 Worst: Chaos Legion (37)

On the PlayStation 2, this game has a score of 65. For the PC version though, that gets cut almost by half down to 37. This is because the PC port malfunctions. Tons of fans had issues getting this game to run on this computer. Perhaps the most hilarious Metacritic review is by Computer Gaming World which wrote, "I've birthed children in less time than it takes the game CDs to fire up."

User scores are much more positive than critic scores so it is pretty hard to determine which side to believe.

2 Best: Resident Evil 4 (96)

To not much surprise, it is Resident Evil 4 that is Capcom's highest rated game on Metacritic. Both the Gamecube and PlayStation 2 versions got a 96. The version scored a 91. The PlayStation 4 versions got a 82. The Switch version got a 81 and it keeps going downhill from there in terms of different consoles. The lesson is to get this game on either they PlayStation 2 or Gamecube.

As mentioned before, Capcom is the best at survival horror and this is one of those games where they put out there best. Players and critic alike loved the games' atmosphere, memorable fights, and difficulty level.

1 Worst: Umbrella Corps (36)

The Capcom game with the lowest Metacritic score is Umbrella Corps, which came out for the PC and PlayStation 4 in 2016. Both versions were scored very low, but the PC version was the lowest by two points.

This game is known as the worst Resident Evil title. The gameplay was terrible and its online mode was utterly dead. The A.I. zombies were tragic, the visuals were poor, and the game had a dysfunctional matchmaking technique for its online play.
