A Call of Duty Zombies fan has shared their incredible replica of the Ray Gun, which has a few unique features that fans of the franchise might recognize. The Ray Gun in Call of Duty Zombies has been a staple of the game mode ever since its inception, and this replica is the perfect tribute.

The history of the Ray Gun in Call of Duty Zombies dates all the way back to World at War. Back then, Zombies was unlocked for completing the campaign mode, and featured just a single map - Nacht der Untoten. The Ray Gun could only be found in the mystery box, and in the beginning, it was by far the most powerful weapon players could acquire. Now, this changed somewhat over the years, as Call of Duty Zombies continued to add even more wonder weapons, but the Ray Gun continued to be a powerful addition to any arsenal.

The upcoming release of Call of Duty has the chance to further explore elements from previous versions, one of which should be fairly obvious.

TikToker polygonprinting revealed their incredible Call of Duty Zombies Ray Gun, complete with lights, sounds, and a trigger that moves the needle, just as it does in-game. It can even be reloaded in the exact way it functions in every title. A future version of the weapon is planned that will fire a laser pointer whenever the trigger is pulled. While it doesn’t exactly fire zombie-killing rays just yet, given the gun’s status as one of the best Call of Duty Zombies wonder weapons, perhaps this is for the best.

Many in the comments pointed out that the actual Ray Gun in-game shoots green lasers, while this concept uses blue, although polygonprinting does reveal that an update is coming to change this. Other fans were asking to see a Pack-a-Punched version of the Call of Duty Zombies Ray Gun, which would be an extremely interesting way to make this creation cooler than it already is.

With Treyarch up next in the Call of Duty release cycle, it’s extremely likely that players will have the next iteration of the Zombies game mode to play later this year. Although the studio has yet to reveal its plans, it will be interesting to see what approach it takes with Zombies. Many fans want more Call of Duty Zombies maps with a simpler style, as seen in the early days of the mode, while others want a continuation of the more complex maps found in recent iterations. Only time will tell which direction the developer takes, and unfortunately, it will be difficult to please everyone at this point.
