Although certain details have been shared previously involving the Headquarters social space that can be found within Activision and Sledgehammer Games' forthcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: WW2, fans have yet to actually see the feature in action. Thankfully, amid gamescom 2017's plethora of announcements, the publisher and developer have now released an official trailer showing off all of the activities and properties to be found in the game's dedicated social sphere.

As seen below in the latest trailer for Call of Duty: WW2, fans will be able to use Headquarters as an area to warm up in the Firing Range, take on competitors to prove who's the best within the 1v1 Pit, man the anti-aircraft guns to earn rewards, and they can even watch eSports matches live in the Theater. Not to mention, there's also a Scorestreak Training Range and the ability to simply socialize with other players of the game.

It was previously revealed by Activision and Sledgehammer Games that Call of Duty: WW2's Headquarters social environment is a 48-player space modeled after the Allies' Normandy beach encampment a few days after D-day, and it looks quite compelling to say the least, as it's a fresh idea for the series. Unfortunately, though, fans who are looking to try the area out will have to wait until the game's full release since the developers won't be including Headquarters in Call of Duty: WW2's Private Beta.

All things considered, it will be interesting to see whether or not Headquarters can maintain a solid base of user activity well after Call of Duty: WW2's launch, as it has the potential to become completely deserted after just a few weeks' time due to many simply wanting to dive headfirst into multiplayer action. Not to mention, the lure of the game's Nazi Zombies mode could also have players forgoing Headquarters altogether in favor of the more tried-and-true elements of the franchise.

Call of Duty: WW2 is set to launch on November 3, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
