For some players of Call of Duty: Warzone, the Vondel map is being terrorized by an unexplained floating door. The hilariously bizarre occurrence of this door has been both an amusing and confusing experience for many Call of Duty: Warzone players.

As Call of Duty's answer to the battle royale genre, Warzone has been one of the most popular online multiplayer titles since its launch in 2020. Although there have been some bumps in the road for Warzone, the game still attracts many players and even draws in major properties for crossovers, like the game's recent collaboration with The Boys.

A Reddit user known as AcceptableRule9629 recently captured some gameplay footage of a match taking place in the Vondel map. While they're hiding out on a rooftop, a random floating door appears out of nowhere. The door quickly floats into frame and then just stops, hanging ominously in the air.

AcceptableRule9629 watches the door for a brief moment and then shoots it to see if that phases the door, but nothing happens. As another experiment, they then try to parachute into the door, but AcceptableRule9629 just flies right through it like some sort of ghostly apparition. Fellow Call of Duty: Warzone players have come to the comments of the post to share their experiences with the ghost door of Vondel, revealing that this has been happening for at least a week. Some players are even theorizing that Warzone's developers may have put the door there on purpose as a joke. There have been some amazing Warzone clips from matches, but this one is just hilariously weird.

Although this very well could be a strange Warzone bug, the ghost door of Vondel is currently still a mystery. If this happens to be a bug, then it's at least an incredibly funny one that doesn't seem to be impacting gameplay for players. It seems as though the only threat the ghost door poses is distracting players in the middle of a match. Until this mystery is solved, Call of Duty: Warzone players may want to be on the lookout for an ominous floating door when playing the Vondel map.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
