The giant Halloween update has come to Call of Duty: Warzone, and it of course brings with it some new bugs for players to navigate. Unfortunately, this bug might be one of the worst that players have encountered. It seems that many players are experiencing their visuals going completely black, only showing their mini-map as the Call of Duty: Warzone players try to fight off enemy players and zombies.

The Halloween celebration has brought a ton of new content to Warzone. The Haunting of Verdansk event introduced new SAW and The Texas Chain Massacre skins and items. In addition, there are some new weapons to try out and a completely new Zombie Royale mode. While some players are having the time of their lives, it seems many are barely able to even play the game right now.

In the new Zombie Royale mode--where dead players revive as zombies with supernatural abilities--the biggest threat isn't the zombies. Some players are encountering black screens as soon as they parachute from the plane. This means that they have to constantly pause and look at the entire map in order to see where they are falling. The glitch doesn’t go away after they land, so most of these players are dying to the first enemy they encounter. The silver lining is that one of the features in the new Warzone Zombie Royale mode is reviving as a zombie with working vision. This means that players encountering this glitch are essentially required to die in order to play the game.

This glitch creates too real of a SAW scenario when coupled with the new Phlebotomist throwing knife that drills into enemies. Blindfolded throwing knives could have been a fun game mode, had it been intended. Currently, the only fix aside from dying is using a Spotter Scope. Players hope a patch is sent out soon in order to give them as much time to enjoy the event as possible.

Players hunting down the Trick of Treat loot boxes in the hopes of getting the new Pumpkin Punisher Blueprint will have to wait until a fix is released. The good news with this is that it gives time for other players to hunt these boxes down, taking some of the heat off them. There is no word yet if the event will be extended in order to make up for the first few days being unplayable for so many gamers.

This glitch comes just when many players thought Warzone was the most playable it had ever been. The recent Call of Duty: Warzone cheater ban eliminated many from the game that were ruining it for others. Hopefully, this glitch will be fixed soon so that players can have some peace and quiet as they kill each other.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
