Call of Duty: Warzone will soon begin Season 3, but instead of enjoying the last days of Season 2, some players are reporting that their wins are not being tracked.

Like most competitive online shooters, Call of Duty games track a player’s stats after each match. Along with kill-death ratios, the amount of wins that a player has racked up serves as a badge of honor amongst Call of Duty fans. It is a way for players to show others how skilled they actually are, but the tracking feature also has other uses. Warzone’s matchmaking system also uses player statistics to place them in matches against other players of a similar skill.

It is no wonder then that Call of Duty: Warzone players quickly noticed that their stats have stagnated in the last few days. Fans started to post about the issue late last night and early this morning on Twitter. Independent Call of Duty news account ModernWarzone said there were “tons” of reports of wins not be being counted, and several players commented to confirm that their wins were not tallying up either. Some added that it was only their Duos, Trios, and Quad matches that were not being recorded.

Some players believe that the recording problem was actually intentional, adding that some matches have are currently being treated as limited-time modes because of the recently-added Zombie mechanic. There are also players who think that Activision is planning on resetting everyone’s stats at the start on Season 3, though Activision has not confirmed this.

In fact, Activision has yet to comment on the tracking issue, so it is unclear whether the bug will soon be fixed or not, if the issue is even a bug at all. However, it seems unlikely that Activision would intentionally stop tracking statistics without notifying players. There have also been instances in the past of glitches altering player stats including the number of wins, so it seems plausible that a similar issue is currently causing stats to not be recorded.

Warzone is currently in its final days of Season 2, as the official Call of Duty Twitter account has confirmed that the highly-anticipated nuke event will occur on April 21 at 12 pm PT. After the event, the Verdansk map is rumored to be replaced by a 1980s-themed map set in Russia’s Ural Mountains. But until then, radiation will continue to spread around the Verdansk map. Hopefully Activision responds to the stat-tracking issue before the start of Season 3.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
