Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is approaching, and each season brings a fair share of changes. The Call of Duty: Warzone community has taken to Reddit, calling for big changes ahead of the next season.

Call of Duty: Warzone continues in the advent of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reveal and the impending release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 later this year. The development team at Raven Software is listening to player feedback, and recently addressed some ongoing issues. One of the issues involves player sentiment toward LMGs, an underutilized weapon class in the current meta. As Season 3 currently stands, Assault Rifles and SMGs are the most competitive weapons in the field.

Reddit user and Call of Duty Warzone player u/semper_crayons posted an image that reads “sliding and jumping should significantly reduce accuracy.” He emphasizes the desired changes in the Reddit post by saying “I know it. You know it,” and many other players agree with his opinion ahead of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4. The Reddit post garnered a lot of attention with roughly 4,800 upvotes and an impressive 90% upvote ratio. On the surface, it appears these changes are highly requested by many in the Call of Duty Warzone Reddit community.

In the current meta of Call of Duty: Warzone, players are not penalized for aiming and shooting during sliding and jumping. Such movement allows players to maintain momentum while taking down opponents. Additionally, jumping while aiming and firing yields no perceivable downsides to accuracy. The same may be said for sliding since it allows players to dodge enemy fire while staying on the offensive.

There are opposing opinions to the topic, with some Reddit users stating Call of Duty is an “arcade shooter” with less of a focus on realism. However, it appears that the majority of users engaging with the Reddit post agree about potential movement changes ahead of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4. The balance in shooters like Call of Duty: Warzone is known to drastically change over time, so a change of this level would not be too shocking.

Ultimately, the requested jumping and sliding changes are left up to Raven Software. The development team is currently assessing underappreciated weapons and likely considering more changes to come. It is safe to assume Raven Software is considering changes that are beneficial to Call of Duty: Warzone and its community as a whole, so perhaps movement adjustments are being talked about. Regardless, Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 is winding down, with its Battle Pass set to expire on June 22.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions release later in 2022.
