Usually, when a new Call of Duty: Warzone glitch or bug is discovered, it becomes a notorious exploit that hurts the game for those who play fairly. There have been plenty of them throughout Warzone's life cycle, such as one that could turn players invisible and the infamous Warzone infinite stim glitch that meant players could never die. The most recent one to be discovered, while still exploitable, isn't quite as bad as those that came before it, but it's something that requires patching out.

The bug in question appears to provide players with a permanent slide boost, allowing them to cover more ground by sliding. One Call of Duty: Warzone player named NotImKenny shared a clip of the bug in action on Reddit. While it didn't necessarily provide them too much of an advantage, having the ability to slide three times as far as they normally could probably isn't intentional on the game's part.

The bug appears to only be possible in Warzone's new limited-time mode Power Grab, which was included as part of Season 3's 80s Action Heroes update, alongside skins for Rambo and Die Hard's John McClane. This mode removes the Gulag, splits 100 players into competing squads, and features collectible dog tags where the more a player gets, the better rewards they receive.

NotImKenny believes the bug was triggered when they picked up one of the dog tags. But, while an improved slide is a buff obtaining a dog tag can provide, it's meant to wear off after a certain amount of time. A few other players in response to the post admit to experiencing the same thing, with one thinking it was a deliberate nod to action movies. Another suggests that it's a problem with the map itself, claiming that it can trigger in specific spots.

Coincidentally, Warzone isn't the only Call of Duty game to have issues involving the slide mechanic. Both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Mobile have had their own separate issues related to it. Back in February, Mobile's sliding mechanic had to be nerfed because the version that players had grown accustomed to wasn't intentional, although this upset some players who liked how it previously worked.

The sliding bug is unlikely to be on Activision or Raven Software's priority list at the moment. Aside from the game still being plagued with hackers, Raven Software is also currently busy with fixing Warzone's new lighting.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
