A secret tunnel can be found on Vondel, Call of Duty: Warzone’s latest map. While there are possibly other surprises waiting to be discovered by players on this new map, this hidden tunnel has already caught some Call of Duty: Warzone players' attention.
While Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone has brought a lot of new content, one significant addition has been the new Vondel map. With a design based around a Baroque European city, the map has a number of eye-catching POIs, such as Castle and Museum, to name a few. While many of these places are visible on the map, there are some other areas that take more searching to uncover.
After playing on the new Vondel map in Call of Duty: Warzone, a Reddit user known as Zombot5825 shared a discovery they had recently made. Specifically, they had found a secret tunnel that connected various parts of the map. In the 51-second video, the Reddit user could be seen fleeing gunfire by jumping into a body of water. After swimming a short distance, the player dove underwater and into a passageway. They quickly took advantage of the escape route, revealing how long the tunnel stretched.
Zombot5825 continued to swim for a while, making multiple turns. The underwater passage went on for so long that they even had to stop and use their rebreather. Fortunately, they eventually found a ladder leading out of the tunnel and into a room with loot. In addition to the video, Zombot5825 provided several more details about the passageway in the comments. For example, they claimed that the only way to open the door to the loot room seen at the end of the video was from the inside, making the tunnel a more valuable secret.
Unsurprisingly, this discovery made by Zombot5825 caught the attention of numerous other gamers in the Warzone community. The post already has over 1.1K upvotes, with many users commenting on the tunnel. In the comments sections, several players said they had discovered the tunnel but had run out of oxygen because they did not have a rebreather. “I discovered it in mod resurgence, I had no oxygen bottle. I'll let you guess the outcome,” one user commented. In response, Zombot5825 admitted they had met a similar fate their first time attempting to go through the tunnel.
It will be interesting to see how many Warzone players begin to use this tunnel to access the loot at the other end in the coming weeks. Time will tell if this underwater passageway remains much of a “secret” as more people get acquainted with Vondel. Nevertheless, there will likely be more secrets to discover about Vondel in the days ahead.
