For months, Call of Duty: Warzone has been building up to a big nuke event that will wipe away the existing battle royale map and introduce a new one. While some believed that the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event would happen last month, the leaked dates came and went with no such event taking place. Now Activision has seemingly confirmed the exact date and time of the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event, so fans of the game should mark their calendars accordingly.

The official Call of Duty Twitter account uploaded a short teaser trailer that is clearly Warzone-related, showing what appears to be the Zombie symbol seen at the Zombie locations currently in Verdansk. It includes the date April 21, next Wednesday, along with the time 12pm PT. The teaser was accompanied with the text "The end is near..." with no additional context. However, it's probably safe to assume that this is in reference to the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event, which will apparently be taking place on Wednesday, April 21 at 12pm PT.

Now that Call of Duty: Warzone fans know the exact date and time of the probable nuke event, they can plan ahead to witness it. However, it remains to be seen exactly how it will go down. A bug has made the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event go off early for some players, so it does seem like it will be an in-game event, not unlike what Fortnite does.

Additional details on the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event aren't available at this time, though Activision has teased where the nuke may be landing. It seems as though the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke will be hitting the Dam area, which will presumably mean that the Dam is going to be completely missing in the new map. Dam's demise has long been rumored in Call of Duty: Warzone, so it makes sense that it would be the area targeted by the nuke. Of course, it's also possible that this teaser is for something completely different (though that seems unlikely).

When the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event takes place on April 21 at 12pm PT, it's unclear exactly what will happen next. Various leaks have pointed to Call of Duty: Warzone introducing a 1980s version of Verdansk as the new map, but that has yet to be confirmed. Fans will have to make sure that they're playing when the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event goes live to find out for sure.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
