Call of Duty: Warzone, like other battle royales, is expected to have major in-game events that change up the map and add new content to the experience. Many Warzone players expected such an event to happen with the Season 4 release, and while it didn't, that doesn't mean that Season 4 won't still feature a map-changing event at some point. In fact, a leak suggests that a major event is in fact coming to Call of Duty: Warzone sooner rather than later.

This leak comes from Twitter user Geeky Pastimes, who datamined Call of Duty: Warzone's update files last week. Geeky Pastimes' findings aren't necessarily new information, but they do back-up and reiterate what other dataminers have found in the files, lending them more credibility.

According to the leaker, Call of Duty: Warzone files suggest that there will be a "HUD scramble effect" put in place at some point during the season, with five different pieces of music attached to it. This is all associated with something called "event1," which definitely supports the theory that this will have something to do with the first major Warzone event. What exactly this event will entail remains to be seen, however.

One of the most popular theories is that the first major Warzone event will see the destruction of Dam, one way or the other. Nukes have been found in the Warzone bunkers scattered throughout the map, so many fans think that the nukes will be used to blow up Dam or some other location. Things certainly seem to be pointing in that direction, but it's also possible that the nukes are a bait and switch, with Infinity Ward having completely different plans when it comes to changing the Warzone battle royale map.

Meanwhile, Geeky Pastimes' datamining efforts has unearthed some other information about potential future Warzone content. This includes previously-reported things like hyenas in Warzone, along with a white dog execution, binoculars that let players see great distances without the glint of a sniper scope, a recon drone that can hack equipment, and what is possibly a Prop Hunt limited-time event.

Whether not any of this is actually added to Warzone remains to be seen, however. It's possible that some of the data is being misinterpreted (by Geeky Pastimes' own admission, they are unsure about Prop Hunt), and it's also possible that Infinity Ward has no plans to actually implement any of it. Like with any other leak, fans should wait for an official announcement before getting too excited about any of this information.
