Call of Duty: Warzone already has a lot of post-launch seasonal updates under its belt, but the upcoming Season 4 may just be the most exciting. As well as possessing the usual new weapons, operators, vehicles, and more, Season 4 is crucially set to bring a brand-new map to the title.

This new map for Call of Duty: Warzone is named Vondel, and will bring the franchise to a Baroque European city. While initially launching as a resurgence and DMZ map, it has been confirmed that Vondel will eventually be open to core Warzone playlists. The type of scenery and architecture that is set to come with Vondel has not really been seen before in Warzone, and the map is set to bring a range of exciting points of interest along with it.

Call of Duty: Warzone Vondel: Castle

One of the largest POIs in the upcoming Vondel is its expansive castle. Described as at 13th-century world heritage site, it seems like Castle is a heavily fortified area at the North of the map, likely being a heavy stronghold within Warzone's DMZ mode.

With limited entry points, Castle also offers the tallest buildings in Vondel, making it a strategically invaluable location. Given its size and lines of sight over the map, it is likely that Castle will be a seriously popular drop for players when Season 4 launches on June 14.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Vondel: University and City Hall

vondel university

Vondel's university is another imposing building, being comprised of three stories. The university boasts a range of surrounding facilities and even a university village, fostering a range of engagements from long-ranged to close-quarter combat.

City Hall is situated nearby, containing five stories in all. As a historic building, City Hall is steeped in breathtaking architecture, possessing wide open halls to more narrow corridors. The roof of the building is another serious vantage points, being accessible from the building's interior or from external ascenders.

Call of Duty: Warone: Vondel: Mall and Central Station

vondel mall

Vondel boasts the Mall POI, which contains a range of open-air and enclosed areas. A flat but wide-spanning POI, the Mall is billed as the go-to location for heavy looting, making it another likely popular area.

Across the river from Mall is the Central Station POI. Unlike other Warzone maps, it appears that the trains of Central Station will be non-functional due to extensive damage that the area has received. Central Station is billed as another stronghold-heavy area, being accessible through conventional means as well as a range of hidden underground entrances.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Vondel: Market and Police Station

vondel warzone market

The Market of Vondel is another heavily damaged location, offering little to no cover for players. The main allure of the POI is its Stardtpoort pub and billiards hall, which provides a crucial overlook of the open area. Like Central Station, there are a range of underground tunnels that offer much-needed cover within the Market.

Players will find the Police Station POI just South of Market. A fortified five-story location, the Police Station is another building where players should expect strongholds, as well as lots of loot and ammo. The height of the building offers great strategic advantage, or Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players can engage in river combat with the new amphibious vehicles coming with Vondel.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Vondel: Museum and Exhibit

vondel museum

The Museum POI is another massive compound, fostering all ranges of combat. Some areas of the building are wide enough to drive vehicles into, with Museum even boasting a subterranean reservoir for water-based combat. Museum is also one of the tallest buildings in Vondel, being the perfect vantage point for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 snipers.

The neighboring Exhibit POI is a more modern museum of much more intimate size. Modeled on an ocean liner, Exhibit's narrow corridors make close combat inevitable, and players should address the area accordingly.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Vondel: Stadium and Cruise Terminal

vondel stadium

Vondel's stadium POI is a medium-sized location that is of course fairly open. To make things a bit easier for operators, the stadium's pitch is littered with cover leftover from a paintball championship, making on-pitch combat more viable like Verdansk's stadium.

Just South of the Stadium is the Cruise Terminal POI, which is a much more expansive location. Cruise Terminal comprised of three main buildings ranging from boarding gates to lavish waiting areas that include bars and restaurants. The POI is even home to a complex hotel befit with a helipad, offering a great overview of a relatively flat portion of the map. Cruise Terminal offers a mix of engagement ranges, making for very unpredictable combat.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Vondel: Zoo and Floating District

vondel zoo

Vondel's Zoo is another wide-spanning POI that takes up a large portion of the map's South West. Being completely surrounded by rivers and only accessible via a few bridges, Zoo is a fairly isolated POI that possesses a lot of open ground. Players can still find some remaining zoo animals and can travel through a variety of exhibits, with Zoo likely being a popular thoroughfare to more dense areas of the map.

The Floating District POI is a clear indication of Activision's inspiration from real-life cities such as Amsterdam when creating Vondel. Floating on the riverside, this POI is comprised of a variety of containers and living quarters tied together by bridges. Crucially, players will be able to swim around and even under the floating buildings to gain an edge on their opponents, making Floating District all the more interesting.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Vondel: Fire Department and Graveyard

vondel fire department

A u-shaped Fire Department POI holds an imposing grip on the Western portion of Vondel. A fairly large compound, the Fire Department also possesses water-access allowing for a range of infiltration opportunities. Ironically, a huge propane tank is on fire to the side of the POI, posing a real threat during the chaos of battle.

Finally, the Graveyard POI of Vondel is a quieter location for operators, but remains a complex one. As well as the graveyard itself, the POI is home to a funeral parlor and even an extensive underground morgue. While neighboring buildings offer a great height advantage over the open area, the underground morgue of Graveyard offers a fantastic level of verticality to the upcoming Vondel.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
