A new video shows that there might be a big problem in the way riot shields work under certain conditions while playing Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are currently in Season 2 Reloaded, and Activision has made some significant changes to these games since their release in 2022. As an example, the Gulag returned to a 1v1 format in Season 2 of Warzone 2, with three-plated armor vests becoming the default option.

Since its launch in November, Warzone 2 players have shared different videos showcasing the various bugs present in the game. As an example, one strange bug in Warzone 2 makes a player throw a gun instead of a grenade, while another glitch allows users to vanish into walls. Now, another Warzone 2 clip features a bug related to riot shields, proving that they might not be as effective in some specific scenarios.

A Reddit user named LordTexugo has shared a video highlighting this bug with riot shields, which seems to occur while using a zipline in Warzone 2. As seen in the video, LordTexugo is moving up a zipline with the riot shield equipped, but a player on the roof of the building kills them with bullets, making it seem like the shield does not offer protection while using a zipline in Call of Duty. The killcam shows the perspective of the other player, revealing that a bug may have occurred in this instance.

As shown in the Warzone 2 killcam, the other player can target LordTexugo’s full body, as the riot shield is seemingly stuck to their side as they move up the zipline. It also shows the riot shield moving to their back at the last second as they equip their gun, but it’s too late as the opponent manages to get the kill with ease. In the end, the event featured in the killcam is completely different from the one experienced by LordTexugo.

It appears that Call of Duty fans in the comments section aren’t a fan of gamers using riot shields, with some players expressing their approval of the bug in the footage. Some users even say that LordTexugo deserved it for using a riot shield, with one fan claiming that the same incident occurs while using the Battle Rage field upgrade in Call of Duty: Warzone 2. It looks like gamers are still experiencing bugs while playing Warzone 2, as several players also discuss other broken animations and mechanics present in the battle royale title.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
