A Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player manages to win a battle royale match by simply waiting in the Gulag. Typically, the Gulag is meant to be a fighting ground for redeployment in a Call of Duty: Warzone 2 match, but the area seemingly worked in the player's favor.

Warzone 2 Season 3 introduced a new Gulag in its major April 12 update, which also introduced several new features and the Plunder mode. Warzone 2 players may battle for redeployment in the new Blacksite Gulag area while playing on the Al Mazrah map. Before diving into a match on Al Mazrah, players may want to try out Gunfight in Modern Warfare 2 since the newly added mode contains the Blacksite Gulag as its own map. On the other hand, one player did not need practice for the Gulag since they managed to win a Warzone 2 match by just waiting around for the match to finish.

Reddit user ColtsNetsSharks won their battle royale match by waiting 15 minutes within the Blacksite Gulag in Warzone 2's Al Mazrah map. In their gameplay clip posted on Reddit, ColtsNetsSharks may be seen running around in the Gulag until their match comes to an abrupt end. The player was seemingly unable to find their Gulag opponent for those 15 minutes, but they still won the Warzone 2 match nonetheless.

Some Warzone 2 players believe ColtsNetsSharks was stuck in the Gulag due to a bug that has persisted since the launch of the original Call of Duty:Warzone game. Another player was still in the Gulag with him, but ColtsNetsSharks seemingly won by remaining unaffected by deadly gas encroaching on the area. Some members of the community believe the player earned their win in the Gulag, while others believe Warzone 2 still contains many bugs that directly affect the outcome of matches.

Winning a Warzone 2 match from within the Gulag is a rare feat that many players will notice. However, some players may believe this win is unfair due to ColtsNetsSharks remaining out of the main Warzone 2 map for such a long period. The situation also encourages some players to call on Infinity Ward and Raven Software to implement bug fixes for Warzone 2.

Fortunately, players may still enjoy a majority of Warzone 2 Season 3's new content without game breaking bugs. The Season 3 Battle Pass adds new weapons and Operator skins, and players can complete the new Dealmaker mission in Warzone 2's DMZ mode. Activision is expected to bring new content to the game in a mid-season update for Warzone 2.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
