Activision Blizzard recently confirmed a new map known as Fortune's Keep coming to Call of Duty: Warzone with Season 4 and more details about the upcoming season for it and Call of Duty: Vanguard continue to be announced. With Warzone 2.0 on the way, Warzone continues to evolve alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard with Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune.

Just like any new season of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, a big content update will be rolled out on its launch that includes tons of changes for both games. Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone players have until June 22 to complete their current Battle Pass that includes the Chingon Mateo skin and Nordic Sun Legendary Blueprint in anticipation of another Battle Pass in Season 4. In addition to the expected new weapons, blueprints, and operators, Mercenaries of Fortune brings plenty of freshly confirmed modes, maps, Caldera alterations, and more.

Call of Duty confirmed a revamp to Warzone's Caldera, round-based Zombies, multiplayer maps, bundles, game modes, features, and more coming to Vanguard and Warzone with Season 4 on June 22. Call of Duty players will get access to the Fortune's Keep Warzone map, while Storage Town returns to the Caldera alongside over a dozen point-of-interest adjustments that will make getting and seeing around the Pacific island a lot easier. The USS Texas returns to Call of Duty in Season 4 with USS Texas 1945 updating the visuals last seen in Call of Duty: WW2, but multiplayer fans will have to wait for the mid-season update to see the second map known as Desolation.

Warzone sees the return of Plunder with Mercenaries of Fortune, a game mode that has come and gone from the battle royale since its early days. Events during Mercenaries of Fortune will offer challenges for Call of Duty players to complete for more rewards like weapon camos and charm, a sticker, a Legendary animated Calling Card, and more. An Armored SUV with a mounted turret will be added to Call of Duty: Warzone in the mid-season update to open up mobility further in order to make plundering the island even easier. Long-time Call of Duty Zombies fans will also rejoice with the arrival of round-based Zombies with Shi No Numa, which centers on the "Swamp of Death."

Upon the confirmation of all of what Mercenaries of Fortune has to offer, many fans expressed their enthusiasm for a bigger update, while others lament some changes to Warzone's Caldera. Since Fortune's Keep was confirmed for Call of Duty: Warzone, some COD fans have anticipated the loss of Rebirth Island, but Call of Duty has confirmed that both will exist by sharing time in the map rotation. Some eagle-eyed Call of Duty fans noted on the Season 4 trailer that Call of Duty: Vanguard and the Caldera are set in World War 2 and helicopters weren't used in warfare until the 1970s, highlighting some congruency issues.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
