Call of Duty: Vanguard is now available, and some players are already beginning to grind camos and complete the game’s many challenges. However, Call of Duty: Vanguard fans can also grind Operator levels this year, unlocking an abundance of cosmetic items for each character.

Before Call of Duty: Vanguard players can begin leveling up their soldiers, they need to unlock them. All 12 Operators are unlocked by finishing a challenge, with some objectives likely to take a bit longer than others. For those interested, here are the multiplayer challenges required for each Operator.

Hellhounds And Shadow

  • Daniel: Get 200 marksman rifle kills.
  • Wade: Get 100 headshots.
  • Halima: Get 50 prone kills.
  • Polina: Get 200 sniper kills.
  • Solange: Get 10 double kills.
  • Shigenori: Perform 25 finishing moves.

For the most part, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Operators will be unlocked just by playing naturally. Wade’s challenge of getting 100 headshots, for example, is something that players could accidentally achieve after a few days of gameplay. The same can be said for Solange’s 10 double kills, with players likely to unlock the character after a few play sessions. Halima’s objective is easy enough, as players simply need to go prone near an objective and wait for players to walk into their line of fire.

Both Daniel and Polina Petrova offer challenges that require 200 kills with a specific weapon class, which will either come naturally or take some effort depending on each person’s playstyle. Of the first six Operators, Shigenori’s challenge will require the most time to complete. To get 25 finishing moves, players will want to use smoke grenades to reach the enemy spawn and hide in a corner or building. If they are lucky enough, an enemy will walk by, and they can then sneak behind them for the execution. This will likely take several matches to pull off, though.

Barbarians And Sentinel

  • Roland: Get 300 assault rifle kills.
  • Lucas: Get 100 hipfire kills.
  • Beatrice: Get 5 kills without dying 10 times.
  • Arthur: Get 10 kills with killstreaks.
  • Constanze: Get 300 LMG kills.
  • Padmavati: Get 200 shotgun kills.

Roland, Constanze, and Padmavati all offer weapon-focused challenges for Call of Duty: Vanguard players to complete. Fortunately, Roland’s is another that should come naturally since most players use assault rifles. Padmavati’s shotgun challenge should be easy enough to complete if players remember to equip one, while Constanze’s LMG eliminations should be just as easy to do if players equip one of these weapons after their Assault Rifle challenge is finished.

Fortunately, the challenges to unlock Arthur Kingsley and Beatrice should come naturally as well. Getting 10 kills with streaks should be no problem, as players can use anything from Attack Dogs to War Machines. Going on 10 five killstreaks should be no problem for experienced players, and newcomers should also be able to do this with enough practice. Finally, the ease of Lucas’ 100 hipfire kills will be playstyle dependent, though players who don’t hipfire often should focus on it to get it out of the way. With all these challenges being straight forward, players should have no problem completing them.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
