Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War kicked off Season 3, bringing big changes to the game and its meta. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's changes have left many players searching for their optimal loadouts, and professional player Dillon "Attach" Price has given his advice for how players can best utilize the PPSh SMG.

Call of Duty veterans are likely familiar with the PPSh, and probably have plenty of memories using it in Call of Duty: WW2, where it dominated the meta. Season 3 brings the weapon to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Price has a loadout that may lead to the gun being very popular yet again.

Price released two different loadouts, one for public matches and one for League play, where there are more restrictions in place. For public matches, he recommends running the Gunfighter Wildcard so that players can equip the PPSh with a GRU Suppressor, 14.3" Extended barrel, Steady Aim Laser, Spetsnaz Grip, 55 Rnd Drum magazine, GRU Elastic Wrap, and a Raider Stock. The loadout looks to minimize the gun's recoil and spread while maximizing the player's movement speed while it is equipped, making it one of the stronger close-quarters options in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War after the recent balance changes.

For League play, Price recommends opting for the Law Breaker Wildcard as players will not need Gunfighter. This loadout equips the PPSh with a Muzzle Break and Spetsnaz Speedgrip as well as the same 14.3" Extended barrel, GRU Elastic Wrap, and Raider Stock. The kit aims for the same goal as the public match one, but avoids any of the League banned attachments or attachments that aren't used commonly in League because of a "Gentlemen's Agreement." With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's new prestige levels, the PPSh looks like a great weapon to use while grinding out the new ranks.

Price's take on the PPSh is a strong one, and looks to boost the SMG to a must-use weapon until balance tweaks eventually mix up the meta further later on in the season. Of course, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has plenty of other options if players don't want to use the PPSh for whatever reason, and pro players have provided their preferred loadouts for nearly all of them. With all of the new content added to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's zombies, multiplayer, and Warzone game modes, Season 3 is a great time for new and returning players to jump in and check it all out.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
