News about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 has been circulating across the Internet. The Modern Warfare community is looking for any bit of information of what is to come. In the flood of leaks, teasers, and spoilers, one point that was overlooked was an interesting letter sent to streamer TeeP.

A package was sent to TeeP which he opened on his stream, which contained a rook chess piece and USB drive. On the USB was an interesting message from the Shadow Company, a rumored squad that supposedly is headed for Modern Warfare in Season 5.

TeeP read the letter aloud to all fans on the stream. The letter was from the Shadow Company based out of Verdansk, Kastovia. Addressed to TeeP, the letter is from Marcus Ortega, the Senior Officer of the Shadow Company. Although it is not confirmation, the letter says that the Shadow Company has been keeping an eye on TeeP and decided to reach out. They explain that the Black Rook was sent for a reason. "As a chess piece, it can do two things; A frontal assault or a sweeping flank. The Black Rook gives zero sh*ts about misdirection or dancing, fancy diagonals. The Black Rook is bruteforce embodied - that's us," reads the letter.

The letter continues to explain that Shadow Company is called in to clean up "uncleanable messes" and take out targets that other squads can not handle. They handle missions that are too sensitive to be declassified and too messy for those who don't know how to bend the rules. The Rook is a symbol to this squad and a ticket to Verdansk where they invite Teep to "find us on landing." Multiple letters, teasers and other information have been sent to several popular Warzone and Modern Warfare streamers.

This is not the first time that characters from the game have reached out the to streaming community. Back in May, Captain Price sent videos to several streamers discussing the possibility of putting together an elite taskforce. DrDisrepect replied to Captain Price along with tons of other streamer reaction videos to the unexpected offer.

One fan did notice that the "Tombstone" outfit for Mace did feature a black rook surrounded by two bolts of lightning. This is similar to the Shadow Company logo from Modern Warfare 2. If this is the reimagined version of their logo, then Shadow Company may be making an appearance in Modern Warfare's Season 5. Fans should prepare for the coming of this elite squad and the epic equipment that they might bring with them.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
