Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans have reason to celebrate, as the Season 4 Reloaded update drops tonight at 11 PM PST. Among many things coming to the game with this update is a brand new multiplayer map for players to do battle on called Cheshire Park.

Cheshire Park is a fictional location in London, England, and now players can visit it in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to host virtual gunfights with each other. Not much has been shown of the map yet aside from some promo images, but fans don't have long to wait to really see what it's all about.

The new map is new to the franchise and will be making its first appearance tonight with the Season 4 Reloaded update. It will be interesting to see how fans take to it and whether or not it manages to become as popular as other iconic maps like Shipment or Rust.

It is currently unclear which game modes will be available on the new map (many are speculating standard 6v6 modes), although more likely than not the new Team Defender mode will be. Team Defender takes the classic game mode of capture the flag and puts an interesting spin on it. First introduced in Modern Warfare 3, this mode tasks players not only with capturing the enemy's flag but also holding onto and protecting it for as long as possible. Teams score points based on how long they can keep the flag before the enemy team reclaims it.

Cheshire Park looks to be an interesting map because it combines urban aspects of other maps with more rural aspects found in its central floral area. This is of course not the first time that a Call of Duty game has made a map such as this, but it is nice for players to be able to choose which sorts of environments they feel most comfortable engaging the enemy in.

Regarding the real world inspiration for the map, the only thing which comes to mind is Lyme Park, which is located in Cheshire, England. Of course, this isn't in London, and the two don't seem to be very similar in terms of looks, so it could just be that Infinity Ward is crafting a fictional location. On the other hand, London is full of parks that have nothing to do with the name Cheshire, so it could be that one of these has been adopted for inspiration.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
