A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 player has recently come across a very confusing bug after purchasing a Mystery Box in the Zombies mode. In the past few weeks, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players have received a lot of new content, while fans of the franchise got new information about 2024's highly anticipated title, Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone's Season 4 Reloaded just dropped on June 26, giving players access to a massive amount of new content including weapons, aftermarket parts, maps, and game modes. The update also introduced a wave-based combat feature called Unstable Rift, which lets players get schematics and a cooldown reset on insured weapons. The update also fixed a bunch of bugs, but it looks like players can still get the opportunity to discover new bugs and create funny gameplay moments.

Advanced Warfare Fans Are Loving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's New Aftermarket Part

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 thrills fans with a new aftermarket kit, reminding players of a fan favorite rifle in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

A recent Reddit post by the user iLegacy96 revealed a bug where the player got nothing from a Mystery Box they purchased in-game. The player has posted a video that shows them opening the Mystery Box, but after the rotation of weapons, the box just shows a golden light but doesn't present the player with any weapon. Just to get a hold of what's happening, they purchase another Mystery Box to see if their friend in the game can get something from the box. Surprisingly, that effort also ends in a sad story where the friend gets nothing from the box except that golden light, which even turns green after the friend gets stabbed by the player who posted the video.

CoD MW3 Player Finds the Mystery Box From Pulp Fiction

The post attracted a massive number of upvotes and comments from fellow MW3 and Warzone players. Most of them took part in the joke where they don't finish their sentences, mimicking what the Mystery Box did to the player who posted the video. One of the most hilarious comments called them an airbender, while another one said that they finally got to see the inside of the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. Jokes aside, it was pretty unfortunate for the player who faced the bug and didn't get a chance to get their hands on the new weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Bugs in CoD MW3 and Warzone, however, are not as big a problem as cheating. Though both games have very strong anti-cheat mechanisms, the problem keeps on rising to the point where players keep complaining about it in every single match. Though MW3 and Warzone took new steps to combat cheating, the problem is still quite big for many players.

Call of Duty fans are now eagerly waiting for the next big title in the franchise, Black Ops 6, set for release on October 25. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have a spy narrative set during the Gulf War era, where some of the subseries' fan-favorite characters have to go rogue to get the job done.
