A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bug allows Zombies players to run at extremely fast speeds. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Zombies is a PvE mode, so other players shouldn't find themselves at risk from this repeatable exploit.

Call of Duty's Zombies mode is no stranger to bugs, like when another recent glitch allowed Modern Warfare 3 Zombies players to kill each other, disrupting the mode's usually PvE-exclusive combat. Some speculated that this was caused by leftover code from Modern Warfare 2's DMZ mode, while others wondered if Modern Warfare 3 is planning to implement a PvP-Zombies mode sometime in the future. While this bug caused more frustration than fun for Zombies players, the mode's newest glitch is a much more wholesome exploit.

Just like with the numerous Wonder Weapons available in Call of Duty Zombies, the many pieces of equipment within the mode vary in quality.

Reddit user dekafana posted a video to the CODZombies subreddit that showcases this new movement glitch. The video shows them riding up a zipline, detaching from the zipline, then reattaching before riding back down to the ground. Upon hitting the ground, they are given superhuman speed and can jump with reduced gravity. However, there are drawbacks to this exploit. The user can not equip any weapons following its activation, and the glitch can only be deactivated if one lands in water, exfils, or bleeds out and gets revived. Once the glitch is deactivated, the user is still unable to equip any weapons or interact with anything, making it impossible to call an exfil chopper without the help of others.

The Reddit user and others explained that to activate the exploit, one must equip an Akimbo weapon or assault rifle. Then, ride up a redeploy zipline. Once the user is automatically detached at the top, fly away a bit before turning back towards the zipline and gaining some momentum. After that, the user will need to cut their parachute and reattach to the zipline towards the very top of the rope. If done correctly, the user will descend back down the zipline and have super speed upon detaching at the bottom. However, the user can still take fall damage after activating this glitch, so Dekafana recommended equipping the PhD Flopper Zombies perk, which negates fall damage after diving.

At the time of writing, this bug was first discovered about ten days ago, so it's not clear how much longer it will remain in the game. Players who want to try out this exploit should probably do so sooner rather than later, as Modern Warfare 3 Zombies glitches, especially ones that affect gameplay, are usually patched.

Alongside future patches, many Zombies fans are hoping for some of Outbreak's features to return. Black Ops Cold War's zombies-themed mode had unique features like Outbreak Survival, fishing, and more.
