Sledgehammer Games has pulled the curtain back on all of Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 3's Season 4 changes. Recently, the Call of Duty community has been abuzz about the official reveal of Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is expected to release this Fall. Furthermore, Xbox has just recently confirmed that Black Ops 6 will launch day and date on Xbox Game Pass.

The fourth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 brings a lot of new content to the table for fans. Two new core 6v6 maps set in Tokyo and Paris will hit on day one, with Incline and Das Gross slated for later on in the season. A total of six new game modes will be added throughout the season as well, most notably the return of Demolition. A collaboration with the popular Japanese sci-fi franchise Gundam headlines Season 4 as well, continuing Call of Duty's streak of impressive crossovers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Fan Points Out Interesting Detail About M16 Weapon Kit

A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fan points out a newly added detail about the M16 assault rifle, sparking debate among fellow players.

Accompanying all the new maps, modes, and skins coming with Season 4 is Call of Duty's massive list of fixes, changes, and improvements that have been made to Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and Zombies. In multiplayer, the Season 4 update allows players to track unlock and weapon mastery challenges. Another change comes in the form of audio design. In an effort to see players pick boots other than the Covert Sneakers more often, the audio team has lowered the volume of all footsteps in the game. Considering how important it is for players to be able to hear opponents' movements, it'll be interesting to see how well this change will go over with the playerbase, as footstep volume has been a point of contention in past Call of Duty titles.

In terms of weapons, several of Modern Warfare 3's SMGs have seen some significant buffs, such as the Rival-9, AMR9, and WSP-9. On the flip side, the BP50 assault rifle and its JAK Revenger Kit has had its movement and sprint speeds nerfed. The 6v6 map 6 Star has had its Hardpoint locations, area sizes, and spawns reworked as well. Season 4 also brings tons of fixes for MWZ players as well, including a devastating bug involving Juggernog and another mishap with the WonderWaffe Wonder Weapon.

Call of Duty players can expect Season 4's in-season maps, modes and Gundam collab to roll out around the expected Season 4 Reload update, which should go live in either late June or early July. In the meantime, June 9 will be a huge day for Call of Duty fans, as the Black Ops 6 Direct is set to immediately follow up Xbox's Summer Game Fest Showcase.
