A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 player took to Reddit to show off their incredible effort to save an AFK player in the game's Zombies mode, which involved using a vehicle to shove their absent comrade all the way to an exfil point and into the waiting helicopter. The player did not know the person they were saving, and thus represents an instance of pure goodwill within the Modern Warfare 3 community.

Unlike other Call of Duty multiplayer game modes, Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is a cooperative experience, in which up to 24 players, split between multiple squads, may be deployed on the map at the same time. While separate squads often pursue objectives independently, there are many opportunities for players to support each other, such as by reviving fallen players, exchanging items and schematics, and working together to take down tough boss enemies like the Red Worm.

While cooperation is always encouraged in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, sometimes players go above and beyond the call to support their comrades. Reddit user u/uh_Krazy posted a clip of one such extraordinary exploit, accompanied by a text description of the incident. Krazy noticed a downed player near Hadiqa Farms and quickly revived the fallen player, before realizing the other person was AFK. Krazy then took it upon themselves to hop in a truck and shove the absent player across the game map to the nearest exfil point, reviving them repeatedly and fending off zombies along the way, before finally shoving their comrade onto the waiting ramp of a helicopter and getting them out safely.

The video clip in the post shows the final stretch of Krazy's journey to save their AFK comrade, but the full effort apparently took a good bit of time, as the absent player had to be pushed across a 600M stretch of the map, from Hadiqa Farms to the Orlov Military Base. Other players took to the comments to applaud Krazy's dedication and share their own stories of helpful interactions with fellow Zombies players. One commenter remarked that shared struggles like server issues and strange bugs in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies have helped to forge a strong sense of camaraderie within the community.

The story of u/uh_Krazy's good deed is a heartwarming example of cooperation and solidarity among gamers. While the competitive multiplayer modes in Modern Warfare 3 can be plagued by cheating and other toxic behavior, it seems that the cooperative nature of the game's Zombies mode tends to encourage more positive, wholesome interactions among players. Even so, it is still rare to see a player go as far as Krazy did to help a complete stranger in a moment of need, with no expectation of reward or benefit.
