The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 logo has been leaked online ahead of the game's official reveal. Sledgehammer Games is reportedly leading development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with a release targeting Q4 2023, and the leaked logo provides a glimpse into what the game's official cover may look like.

The latest installment in the long-running Call of Duty franchise is 2022's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In Modern Warfare 2's campaign, Task Force 141 attempts to put an end to Quds Force Major Hassan Zyani's terrorist plots around the world. After completing the campaign, the story continues through Special Ops mode and Call of Duty:Warzone, which brings the Modern Warfare reboot's timeline to the present year of 2023. Earlier this year, rumors suggested that a Modern Warfare 2 expansion would release near the end of 2023 with a new campaign and multiplayer content. Further speculation and rumors also suggest that Activision and Sledgehammer Games are planning to release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 by the end of 2023 instead of an expansion to Modern Warfare 2.

Twitter user algebra_sloth leaked what appears to be cover art and an official logo for an upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 promotion with Monster Energy, which CharlieIntel proceeded to share on its own Twitter account. A render of Captain Price may be seen on the promotion with the red Modern Warfare 3 logo prominently displayed on cardboard boxes that hold Monster Energy drink cans. According to the Monster Energy promotion, Call of Duty fans who purchase a Monster Energy drink and scan a QR code may earn special rewards in Modern Warfare 3 at launch.

Ghost from Modern Warfare 2 is also depicted on the Modern Warfare 3 and Monster Energy promotion. The popular character may be seen next to the QR code on eligible Monster Energy drink cans. However, further details about the Modern Warfare 3 promotion remain unclear due to the leaked photo's image quality, and Activision has yet to make an official announcement regarding the upcoming title.

Despite the lack of an official announcement, the new leak corroborates a federal judge's remarks regarding the release of Modern Warfare 3. Monster Energy is likely preparing for a major rollout of its drinks to coincide with the promotion, and the Modern Warfare 3 reveal appears to be imminent due to such preparations.

Modern Warfare 3 rumors and leaks imply that the developers are addressing many concerns and requests from Modern Warfare 2, including a mini-map adjustment and a returning War Mode from Call of Duty: WW2. In the meantime, Call of Duty fans should continue to follow Activision's official channels while waiting for the Modern Warfare 3 announcement and trailer.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is rumored to release in November 2023.
