Like with most Call of Duty games, the Modern Warfare 3 experience can be broken down into three categories: campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and Zombies won't be available until the game launches on November 10, but anyone that pre-orders the digital version of the game can hop into the campaign on as early as November 2. Activision is looking to make Modern Warfare 3 campaign completion worth it by hooking players up with special rewards that will help them in multiplayer.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is expanding its battlefield by introducing several maps from Modern Warfare 2 after the game's initial launch.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 campaign consists of 14 missions: Operation 627, Precious Cargo, Reactor, Payload, Deep Cover, Passenger, Crash Site, Flashpoint, Oligarch, Highrise, Frozen Tundra, Gora Dam, Danger Close, and Trojan Horse. Every mission except for Passenger comes with a reward for multiplayer, including calling cards, double XP tokens, a weapon blueprint, and even operators. Needless to say, anyone that wants to get the full multiplayer experience in Modern Warfare 3 will definitely want to play through the campaign.

The good news for those that typically stick to Call of Duty multiplayer is that the campaign should be fairly quick to play through. Call of Duty campaigns are typically very short, with most able to be wrapped up in 5-8 hours. It remains to be seen how long the Modern Warfare 3 campaign is, especially with its new Open Combat missions, but fans will find out when the campaign goes live for pre-order holders on November 2.

Gamers will have about a week to play through the Modern Warfare 3 campaign before the multiplayer and open world Zombies go live on November 10. This should be plenty of time to beat all 14 MW3 campaign missions and unlock the associated rewards. It's worth pointing out this content will also be relevant to Warzone players, as it is universal between MW3 and the battle royale.
