The introduction of the SVA 545 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 marks the return of the classic Abakan assault rifle, a fan-favorite from the previous games that comes with a unique two-shot hyperburst firing mode. It's as lethal as it was in the past, and it's back to re-establish its dominance.

The SVA 545 is a highly versatile weapon that cements itself as one of the best assault rifles in Modern Warfare 3. Here's one particular build for this weapon that capitalizes on its hyperburst feature without completely sacrificing its full-auto capabilities.

Updated June 4, 2024 by Marc Santos: The SVA 545 has gone relatively unchanged since it was introduced in the first season of Modern Warfare 3. Apart from a nerf to its hipfire spread and a buff to its ADS and Sprint-To-Fire speeds, the gun has remained more or less the same. However, now that there are new maps and weapons in the game, our previous build for the SVA 545 has become somewhat obsolete. This guide has been updated to include a new set of attachments for the weapon to help it remain dominant in medium-long ranges without sacrificing power in close quarters.

MW3 SVA 545 Loadout

new meta build for the SVA 545 in MW3 Season 4

The SVA 545's hyperburst feature almost completely eliminates recoil when firing, making it incredibly accurate even without any attachments and keeping the weapon leveling process a breeze. Hyperburst can be used regardless of what fire mode you're using — keep the gun on full auto for close-ranged emergencies, and if your target is a little too far away, tap fire the gun for more accurate shots.

The following mod setup aims to further tighten the SVA 545's shot grouping to make it even more competitive in those long-ranged engagements.

  • Muzzle: Wrathguard Compensator
  • Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip
  • Barrel: STV Precision Barrel
  • Stock: FT Tac Elite V3
  • Sight: Any

With this build, expect the SVA 545 to have more controllable recoil and more stable aim while idle and firing. Stability in particular is very important when it comes to medium-long ranges, as even the slightest movement can put you off-target. This rifle's burst fire won't be as lethal as MW3's dedicated burst weapons like the DG-56, but its serviceable enough to make the SVA 545 competitive in those long sightlines.

Long-ranged SVA 545 build for MW3 Season 4

For the rest of the tactical gear loadout, use the following:

  • Vest: Assassin
  • Sidearm: Any
  • Tactical: Scatter Mines
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Any
  • Gloves: Marksman
  • Boots: Stalker
  • Gear: Any

Scatter Mines can cover the player's flanks, giving them a heads-up for when an enemy is trying to sneak up behind them while they hold a lane. Semtex, on the other hand, gives players some extra ordnance for when they need to push an objective. Feel free to replace this with Claymores or Proximity Mines to double down on the turtle playstyle.

The Marksman Gloves and Stalker Boots combo is arguably the best when it comes to straight-up dueling. The flinch resistance - and extra movement speed while aiming - serve as two layers of defense against incoming shots. Combine these with EOD Padding to shrug off incoming explosives. You can take any vest with this, but we highly recommend the Assassin Vest to keep you off the enemy's radar.

Overall, this build should help players lock down those long lanes without necessarily guns like the XRK Stalker or any of the marksman rifles. They'll be more than capable of dealing with close-range threats, and there's enough flexibility when it comes to equipment and secondary weapons that can let them handle everything else.
