The pre-game lobby of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a noticeable flaw with how players' weapons are displayed, an issue that has caught the eye of one of the game's players. This is among the latest complaints that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players have taken with the game's UI since the game first opened its public beta.

For most multiplayer games, the pre-game lobby is typically designed as a waiting room for players as they load into a match, though it is common for games to implement options for players to customize their load-outs and appearance before a match. It serves as a space for Modern Warfare 2 players to change their weapon loadouts before a match, view available challenges, and view the characters of their teammates with who will they will be fighting alongside.

However, Redditor Cschultz1212 noticed a glaring issue with the game's lobby: every team member present on-screen will be holding the same weapon as the player character rather than their own unique weapons. This user, alongside many others in the comments of the post, openly said that they preferred the UI of previous games, lamenting that this latest entry in the Call of Duty series has had such problematic UI issues that have yet to be addressed.

The player base for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been vocally dissatisfied and frustrated with the game's UI and performance problems, many of which have been present since the game's public beta first opened up in September. Following the first beta weekend, developer Infinity Ward assured players that UI fixes would be in the works during the weeks leading up to the game's launch in late October. Despite these assurances, the game's UI design has remained fundamentally the same, much to the dismay of players.

While the UI is certainly the most apparent issue that players have had with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it is far from the only issue that the game has had since its launch. Modern Warfare 2's difficulties with matchmaking, problematic spawns, and numerous bugs have made the launch a rocky one from a technical standpoint. However, none of that has stopped the game from breaking franchise sales records and maintaining a healthily sized player base. This would hopefully encourage the developers to implement these fixes promptly in order to keep their players happy, though there is no way to tell when some of these requested fixes will come, if ever.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
