Call of Duty Mobile has announced two Zombie modes that will be available in the upcoming season. The Call of Duty community is in for a busy year with the release of Modern Warfare 3 in November. Before then, Call of Duty Mobile players will get a new season with new content.
Call of Duty Mobile is currently in Season 8, which started this month. Named ERROR 404, the highlight is the addition of the new multiplayer map Kurohana Metropolis, a sci-fi-themed downtown area with constant hand-to-hand combat. Playlists are part of Call of Duty's DNA, and the mobile version of the shooter has received Super Slide, where players face off in game modes with longer slides for all Operators. Call of Duty Mobile's eighth season launched the Argus shotgun, which has the highest one-shot kill range in its class.
Call of Duty Mobile has announced two zombie modes for Season 9. Entitled Graveyard Shift, the new season features a Halloween theme and will start on October 4 at 5 PM PT. In Zombies Classic mode, players will return to Shi no Numa, the swamp of death, one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's zombies maps. Squads face a horde of zombies that becomes more lethal as the rounds progress. In Undead Siege mode, players drop into a zombified version of the battle royale map Isolated to survive with their allies for five days and five nights.
In addition to the two Zombies modes, Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 will bring a new battle pass. The highlight of the battle pass is the Launcher Plus perk, released by 2020 Call of Duty Mobile Season 12. This perk significantly increases the functionality of Launchers by adding extra ammo and increasing the chance of earning any Scorestreak the player eliminates with the equipped Launcher. The Mythical Weapon Draw is getting an update with the introduction of the new CX-9 - Lethal Hollow weapon, while players can win other rewards such as the Kestrel - Blessed Hollow Operator Skin.
The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 isn't the only news that has the Call of Duty community excited. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was announced last year, and promises to bring the experience known to PC and console players to mobile devices. But despite this announcement, the devs have already guaranteed that Call of Duty Mobile will not be 'phased out' in favor of Warzone Mobile. The constant support with new events, seasons, and weapons, shows the devs' commitment to keeping Call of Duty Mobile fresh and engaging for players.
