Call of Duty: Mobile is receiving a brand new weapon. The official Twitter page for Call of Duty: Mobile has just posted a teaser image for what will be the newest weapon in the mobile shooter.

The Peacekeeper will arrive in Season 13 of the extremely successful Call of Duty: Mobile. In the tweet, a silhouette of a small weapon is shown with the words "coming soon" behind it. The caption of the Twitter post itself is "can you guess the weapon!" Anyone who remembers Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may recognize the gun design, as it is the Peacekeeper from that Call of Duty entry.

Not to be confused with the Peacekeeper from Apex Legends, the Peacekeeper from Call of Duty is an SMG and assault rifle hybrid. The gun first made an appearance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 as the first-ever DLC weapon in any Call of Duty game. Although that gun was beloved by many, that exact gun isn't the one coming to Call of Duty: Mobile. The silhouette design in the tweet instead looks like the version that came to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Season 13 for Call of Duty: Mobile seems to have a Black Ops theme about it. Just like this Peacekeeper teaser, the Black Ops 4 version of Nuketown was also teased to be coming to Call of Duty: Mobile in Season 13. It will feel quite nostalgic to use Black Ops 4's Peacekeeper in Black Ops 4's Nuketown on COD: Mobile in Season 13.

It is likely that these Black Ops-style content drops are coming alongside the fairly well-regarded Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The most recent entry into the COD series has done well thus far. Just like Call of Duty: Warzone is integrated into Black Ops Cold War, it makes sense to share elements of the Black Ops world into Call of Duty: Mobile.

An interesting thing to note about the Peacekeeper in Call of Duty is that thus far, it has only been in Treyarch Call of Duty games, but that will now change with COD: Mobile. Additionally, the Peacekeeper has always been added as a part of some update or piece of DLC. In Black Ops 2 the Peacekeeper was an SMG. In Black Ops 4, which looks to be what this new gun will be designed after, it was an assault rifle. Regardless, the gun is usually solid in close to mid-range scenarios.

Call of Duty: Mobile is available now on Android and iOS devices.
