A Call of Duty fan found the Prestige Edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts for sale at a nice discount at their local Walmart. Call of Duty: Ghosts was released in 2013 and was notable for being the first CoD game available on the eighth generation consoles as a cross-gen release. Developed by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Ghosts is also a notable entry in the series for less positive reasons, unfortunately.

Up until Call of Duty: Ghosts, all main series entries in the Call of Duty franchise earned rave reviews from critics. Call of Duty: Ghosts was released to a decidedly more mixed reaction, with fans unhappy about the multiplayer and finding that the franchise's campaign formula was growing stale. Call of Duty: Ghosts was disliked enough that even though the game clearly sets up a sequel, there has been no follow-up to this day.

Those who weren't turned off by the more mixed reviews for Call of Duty: Ghosts had multiple versions of the game to choose from at the time of its release in 2013. Besides the different versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts available for different consoles, there were various editions that came with bonus content. The one touted as the "ultimate" Collector's Edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts was the Prestige Edition, which a Reddit user found at their local Walmart for $89.00 even though the game came out a whole decade ago.

The Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition came with a 1080p camera, the Season Pass which guaranteed access to four DLC map packs, a paracord strap, a steelbook, an in-game patch, card, and background, and a digital copy of the official soundtrack. It cost $199.99 when it first released, so $89.00 is quite the deal, especially since it's opened. That being said, the box is not in perfect condition. The colors seem faded and there is some damage around the edges, but it should still be a good deal for Call of Duty fans or collectors.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is generally considered one of the weaker entries in the series, but there are still those who have a great deal of nostalgia for the game and would likely jump at the chance to add the Prestige Edition to their collection, especially at $89.00. Others may want to save their money for new Call of Duty experiences, like the upcoming 2023 Call of Duty game that has yet to be properly revealed at the time of this writing.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is available for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
