Following a recent leak of upcoming Call of Duty games rumored to be in development, the same leaker released some details regarding one of the Call of Duty games. Specifically, they announced which platforms the Call of Duty game is rumored to be on.

As well as a slew of new Activision games, including a Tony Hawk game remaster, multiple Call of Duty games, and more, it has been leaked that a free-to-play Call of Duty game will be released next year. According to the title's leaker, TheGamingRevolution, this game will be available on PC, consoles, and mobile devices come 2021.

The tweet thread from TheGamingRevolution also shows that a remaster of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and a Crash PvP game are two of Activision's next biggest releases. Moreover, the Call of Duty free-to-play title is reiterated as a Sledgehammer Games-developed Call of Duty title.

As the release estimate is currently 2021, there's no telling what consoles the free-to-play Call of Duty game could be on if the rumors are true. Perhaps, it's solely being developed for next-gen consoles given their timely releases. Or, they may be cross-platform titles with iterations on both current- and next-gen consoles. The final scenario is that the free-to-play Call of Duty game will only be on Xbox One and PS4, but this is unlikely if the Xbox Series X and PS5 get their projected holiday 2020 releases.

TheGamingRevolution has accurately leaked Call of Duty-related information in the past. However, it is always best to take these rumors with a grain of salt.

Additionally, it's a bit difficult to imagine what a free-to-play Call of Duty title will be like. Given the recent release of the free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone, a new full-fledged free-to-play Call of Duty title may have a similar battle royale mode loaded with the same features as Call of Duty: Warzone. Call of Duty: Warzone has seen resounding success thus far, so a free-to-play Call of Duty title not hot off the heels of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare would still likely see equal success.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
