To commemorate Military Appreciation Month, Call of Duty Endowment is launching the campaign #CODEMedicalHeroes to raise money for veterans. Funding will happen through Call of Duty: Warzone, partnerships, and a content pack that is expected to raise awareness for the military healthcare members.

Call of Duty Endowment has been trying to raise money for veterans ever since 2009. This non-profit specializes in helping former military members transition more easily into their civilian lives. Activision's main focus is trying to help veterans get a job and emphasize the importance of having former military members in the workforce. Now, Call of Duty: Warzone will serve as a platform for Military Appreciation Month.

Call of Duty Endowment released a trailer on YouTube explaining what the non-profit does. Furthermore, the organization's Twitter account will be posting a story of success each week featuring a veteran who has been employed thanks to the support the cause receives. According to the non-profit, the campaign will be focused on military healthcare members due to the difficulty they experience in finding a job in the medical field as civilians. Activision is looking to get funds for #CODEMedicalHeroes in three ways.

The first one is through a special event in Call of Duty: Warzone titled The Revival Challenge in which players will receive a calling card for every five people revived in the game. To further motivate players, Activision is offering a double-XP Day if a million users complete the challenge. For every challenge completed, Blizzard will donate $1 up to $1,000,000. This challenge will be available from April 30 to May 9.

Secondly, the Call of Duty Endowment Battle Doc Pack is launching for both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Warzone. All of the earnings of the pack sales will go to the Endowment with the goal of raising $2,000,000. This pack was done in collaboration with retired Army Veteran Combat Medic Timothy Hobbs Jr. who is also a fan of the Call of Duty franchise.

Finally, Activision is adding a Military Appreciation Month connecting screen to Call of Duty: Warzone. The main goal of this is to further raise awareness from April 30 to May 10. With this, Activision is hoping more players will take a look at the #CodeMedicalHeroes Campaign and the work of Call of Duty Endowment. In addition to Activision's non-profit's efforts, Pilot Company has donated $100,000 to commemorate Military Appreciation Month. According to the press release, this money will be used to help up to 200 veterans find a high-quality job.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
