Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies is quickly approaching the release of its next Zombies map, and Treyarch is laying the groundwork for its story via the latest batch of intel. With major developments teased, including a mole inside Requiem, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans that care about the story should track the new collectibles down.

Fortunately, all the new Zombies intel are found inside of Outbreak, helping to make the search a fair bit easier. Further, a vast majority is tied to the new Zoo region and the latest Outbreak Easter egg quest, giving players a clear place to focus their attention. As always, the intel pieces take several different forms, ranging from documents to lengthy audio logs. While a lot more intel will surely come in Season 4 Reloaded, here are the items that have already been added to the game.

Requiem Intel

Weaver as he appears in Black Ops Cold War

Season 4 Operator Weaver leads this CIA-backed faction, and the one-eyed agent has a close bond with Maxis. With Requiem full of interesting characters, their intel pieces are worth listening to and reading.

  • Requiem Radio Transmissions: Players can collect more Radio transmissions for Requiem this Season. They can be collected from any region as well, making them easy to grab. In Ruka, the transmission box is found on the table in the main building of the Cargo Platform area. In Golova, it is on top of the larger Granary silo that gamers can zipline up to. In Sanatorium, it is on the top floor of the large yellow house, resting within an office. In Alpine, it is seen as soon as players enter the Bathhouse. Duga’s Radar Control area houses the last transmission in its Listening Post building. On the top floor, players can find the radio in a room with wooden walls. Lastly, the new Zoo region houses a transmission box in the Office Park area. Players can find it in the back room of the brick building with a wall buy.
  • Requiem Document 1 - Sanatorium: Acquired during the new Outbreak main quest. It is dropped alongside other loot when players go to pick up the blue bunny.
  • Other Requiem Documents: These drop randomly from mini bosses and golden chests. Two can be picked up per game.
  • Requiem Audio Log 1 - Zoo: Players can find a brick building with a yellow ladder at the Zoo Plaza. They can then climb this building to reach another ladder, getting on the Zoo’s long walkway. The audio log is on the right side of this walkway, and it is found a few steps beyond the green tarp.
  • Requiem Audio Log 2 - Zoo: In the Office Park area, players can find a white building with some thin trees in front. The audio log is in the back room of this building on a large table.
  • Requiem Artifact 1 - Zoo: In the Industrial Complex, there is a white building to the right of the larger blue structure. Players can find a Healing Aura canister if they head right as soon as they enter this building. It is under a desk.
  • Requiem Artifact 2 - Zoo: If Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans head to the Cottage furthest from the main road, they can find the last piece of Requiem intel. It is in the large log house, and players can find this rover model next to the sink in the top floor’s bathroom.

Omega Intel

Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War Omega Group

With the likes of Dr. Peck and Kravchenko from the original Black Ops campaign, Omega is a formidable adversary for Requiem. As such, their intel is full of plotting and villainy.

  • Omega Radio Transmissions: Like in other Seasons, only one of these can be picked up each match. Just like with Requiem’s transmission, there is a spot to pick it up in every region. Ruka’s is found in a long green tent on the left side of the Missile Silos area. Golova’s is found on the second floor of the Upper Town building that houses the Pack-A-Punch machine, specifically on the left side. It is on a desk. Sanatorium’s transmission is seen in the Administration building, and it is once again found in a side room of the second floor. Alpine’s transmission sits on a pool table on the second floor of the crafting table building, while Duga’s is seen in one of the small buildings at Secure Communications. The area is right in the center of the map, and all 6 buildings’ similar designs should make it easily distinguishable. Lastly, the big Zoo Facilities building at the south of the new region holds the final box. Players can find it straight ahead when they walk through the big door.
  • Omega Document 1 - Sanatorium: Acquired during the new Outbreak main quest. It is found on the floor next to the bodies at the Monument.
  • Other Omega Documents: These drop from golden chests or killing mini bosses like Mimics and Manglers. Two can be picked up each game.
  • Omega Audio Log 1 - Sanatorium: Acquired during the new Outbreak main quest. It is received when interacting with the crashed helicopter.
  • Omega Audio Log 2 - Sanatorium: Acquired during the new Outbreak main quest. It sits next to the bridge’s rover, where the blue bunny is placed.
  • Omega Audio Log 3 - Sanatorium: Acquired during the new Outbreak main quest. It sits right next to the first Omega document and the Monument’s body pile.
  • Omega Audio Log 4 - Zoo: Players can find a jump pad at the Zoo Facilities area. They should use this jump pad to travel all the way to the large Aquarium building. On the boxes off a section of the roof surrounded by signs, players can land to find this audio log.
  • Omega Audio Log 5 - Zoo: In the aqua-colored Zoo Attractions building, players can find an audio log that tells them a bit more about the villainous Omega Group. It rests on a couch in the large room on the second floor.
  • Omega Artifact 1 - Zoo: If players go behind the cliff at Zoo Attraction, they can climb up a rock to reach the cliff. On the far left of the cliff will be a lower end where this model warhead is sitting.
  • Omega Artifact 2 - Zoo: At the Zoo Plaza, where players picked up an Omega Audio Log, this can be found. They will want to climb back to the tarped ramp, this time running to the far end. They will then want to jump on the right track, following it all the way to the map boundaries. Once they get close, they will see a small overhang below them, and they can drop onto it to collect an Aether Reactor model.

Maxis Intel

cod black ops cold war samantha maxis operator intro

Call of Duty Zombies protagonist Samantha Maxis continues to have a big role in the story, and with the looming arrival of Eddie, that is unlikely to change. Her intel is mostly serious and saddening, though brief moments of happiness like Sam getting a dog are wonderful.

  • Maxis Radio Transmissions: Like the other transmission boxes, Maxis has her own to collect recordings from. In the red lodge at the Creek Dacha area in Duga, players can rind this transmission box in the corner of the kitchen counter. In the white house at Golova’s Rural Houses area, which sits across from the Beacon that players use to exfil from the map, the box can be found. It is on the table in the second-floor bedroom. It is in the leftmost Hillside Cabin for Alpine, and players can find it on the right side of the bottom floor. For Sanatorium, it is in the white building at the Market Square location, and players can find this box on some white crates. For the Duga Region, the transmission box is in a second-floor office to the left of the Admin Office stairs. Finally, Zoo’s new radio position is found in the blue Industrial Complex building on the West side of the map. It is on a wooden desk on the top floor.
  • Maxis Documents: Like the other documents, two of these can be dropped by golden chests or mini bosses every match.
  • Maxis Audio Log 1 - Zoo: Players can catch up on Maxis’ story before Mauer Der Toten by heading to the Zoo Facilities building where the Omega transmission was found. It can be found in the back left desk as soon as players head to the basement area.
  • Maxis Audio Log 2 - Zoo: At Zoo Attractions, players will want to head into the caged exhibit on the left of the lion statue. They then want to drop down and head into the cave. In the far-right cell, this log can be found.
  • Maxis Audio Log 3 - Zoo: The final Maxis log can be gathered at the Cottage closest to the main road. As soon as players start heading up the staircase, they should hop onto the overhang with the stone monkey and small window. The recording is on the righthand bookshelf.

Dark Aether Intel

Like other pieces of Dark Aether intel, the new documents tell the stories of those trapped inside the parallel dimension. They also tease bosses like Orda and mysterious entities like The One.

  • Dark Aether Trial Intel: As always, a vast majority of Dark Aether intel can be earned from Outbreak’s trial machine. Three pieces can be earned every game, with players needing to perform well on intel trials to unlock one.
  • Dark Aether Artifact 1 - Zoo: If players head to the brick building at the Zoo Plaza for the final time, they can find another artifact. As soon as players climb up the yellow ladder, they should look right, dropping down to the lower rooftop. A lone Fury Crystal can be found behind the white pillar.
  • Dark Aether Artifact 2 - Zoo: If players head to the yellow diner at the office park, an empty Stamina-Up can be found behind the counter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
