Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies is seeing some major additions soon, including some extra scorestreaks to use against the undead. The streaks in question should look familiar to fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, though, as they are some of the more popular mid-tier streaks.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s glitchy VTOL scorestreak is remaining in multiplayer, both Artillery and the Napalm Strike will be joining Treyarch’s fan favorite survival mode. Artillery, like in multiplayer, will allow players to drop three bombs in carefully selected areas on the map — something that could prove to be incredibly effective during exfils. Napalm Strikes, on the other hand, will set zombies aflame, though it is unclear if the fiery carpet bomb will damage players as well.

Both Artillery and Napalm Strikes will be buildable at Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies’ crafting table. Like the previously added cruise missile, the streaks should prove effective, and they may come with the extra advantage of letting players go invulnerable while calling them in. With the Cruise Missile and Chopper Gunner currently having this beneficial feature, allowing players to hold onto an extra “get out of jail free card” if they find themselves trapped in a corner, these new streaks could become very useful in-game.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies’ new scorestreaks able to be added seamlessly to the crafting table, players should be able to use the Artillery and Napalm Strike on the upcoming Firebase Z map as well as Die Maschine. The updated version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 perk Tombstone will join the streaks on February 4, giving fans of Zombies several new mechanics to try out.

The streaks and perk will also be accompanied by new Call of Duty Zombies intel, as the post confirms that players will find plenty of “audio logs, documents, radio communications, Dark Aether dispatches, and artifacts” in Firebase Z. Fleshing out the story and viewable from the main menu, intel has been a well-received addition to Call of Duty Zombies. With more lore items coming to the PlayStation exclusive Onslaught mode as well, Zombies fans will have plenty of searching to do.

While the arrival of more intel alongside new scorestreaks is exciting for players that have been enjoying the game since launch, those who have yet to try the newest version of Zombies can do so now for free. With a free Zombies trial period active from now until January 21, even those who do not own Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can give the addictive and complex mode a chance.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
