Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies is a different beast compared to previous iterations, introducing a whole new gameplay style and storyline. Despite all the changes made to the mode, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War perk lineup is full of returning favorites — and a new leak implies that this will not be changing during the DLC season.

Call of Duty Zombies has seen its share of great perks over the years, and this leak confirms the return of a few fan-favorite additions. First up is Mule Kick, a perk that allows players to hold three weapons. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies allowing for perks to be upgraded, perhaps Mule Kick’s downside will be removed, as a possible Tier 3 for the perk could see players keeping their third weapon even if they go down.

One of the best Call of Duty Zombies perks, Double Tap is the strongest ability that is set to return. Allowing players to fire two shots with every press of their triggers, the perk essentially doubles the damage dealt by any gun. Like Mule Kick and other perks on the leaked list, this seems like a solid addition due to its entire jingle leaking via a video from YouTuber FireMonkey 2.

One of the other perks leaked via the sound files is PHD, a classic perk first seen on the Call of Duty Zombies map Ascension. While the removal of “Flopper” from its name indicates the lack of the explosive diving ability, it could see a damage-dealing slide added instead, like with Black Ops 4’s PHD Slider. The perk’s main use of granting immunity to explosive damage will likely remain intact.

The final perk leaked is Tombstone. Widely regarded as the worst perk in Zombies history, Tombstone’s addition could hint at a possible Tranzit remake, as this is where the perk was introduced. Letting players drop a Tombstone when they die, and then collect the item upon respawn to restore their perks and weapons, Treyarch may be looking to improve the weak perk via the Black Ops Cold War tier system.

While it is unclear when these perks will be introduced, a safe bet could be one per DLC map. With Black Ops Cold War’s current perk lineup already being solid, more additions should only add to the fun of the mode — even if they are all returning perks, as opposed to new ones.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
