Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans have been waiting for access to a new Survival map for months now, and fortunately, that wait is almost over. Via a new gameplay trailer, Treyarch has confirmed the release date for the next Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies map — and it is only a week away.

Launching on July 15, Mauer Der Toten will pick up where Outbreak’s second easter egg left off. With Requiem’s Operators now captured by Kravchenko, the Omega leader is having them do his bidding. Threatening the life of the group’s exfil pilot Raptor-1, players will need to stop an Omega traitor in the new main quest. Most likely to be Valentina based on intel pieces, the map could feature an exciting boss fight if handled correctly.

Players get a good look at Mauer Der Toten’s subway in the trailer, a feature that will likely bring them a lot of stress. In the footage, a Requiem agent can be seen attempting to cross the tracks as a tram approaches. At first, they avoid death at the hands of one of these transports, with some Zombies getting smashed instead. However, they eventually find themselves trapped between two subway cars, fighting the undead in a tight space in between. It will be interesting to see where the subway leads, as getting across seems difficult.

The city itself looks like it will be a lot of fun to traverse, too, as Treyarch does a fine job capturing a version of Berlin filled with the undead. It seems like gamers will not be fighting alone, though, as an ally named Klaus can be activated. An AI bot that roams the map and fights the undead with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players, it will likely have similar functionality to the Civil Protector and Keeper Protector from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

The real star of the show is Mauer Der Toten’s Wonder Weapon, the CRBR-S. Likely pronounced “Cerberus” due to the three additional barrels for the gun, the weapon boasts a unique design. In the default state, the CRBR-S is a fully automatic pistol, with a circular device rotating above the gun. One of the upgrades for the CRBR-S is also shown, which sees three explosive rounds flying towards a group of Zombies. With the other two forms still unrevealed, it will be interesting to see their purpose.

The hulking Panzer Soldat mini boss is seen alongside some fiery new enemies, ensuring that the new Wonder Weapon will likely be put to the test. With the free map dropping on July 15, fans are only seven days away from a fight through Berlin.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
