Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases on November 13 featuring an all-new campaign, new and returning multiplayer modes, and a new cooperative zombies mode, too. With Black Ops Cold War's release, a new era will also begin for the ongoing Call of Duty battle royale game Warzone.  Warzone players may be wondering exactly what that means in terms of gameplay and features, though. One Youtuber claims to have information regarding just that.

Tom Henderson of the Long Sensation YouTube channel responded to a question from a Twitter follower regarding how Warzone will feel after the release of Black Ops Cold War. The follower asks whether "the movement and gun mechanics" will change when Black Ops Cold War releases specifically. Henderson responds with a very straightforward statement, one that officially hasn't been confirmed by Treyarch or Infinity Ward yet. Henderson says that Warzone in Black Ops Cold War is "essentially" the same as Warzone as it is now.

More specifically, Henderson says that Warzone post-Black Ops Cold War will feature the same movement and gun mechanics as it does now. Treyarch won't be changing Warzone's core gameplay to more closely feel like Black Ops Cold War. That includes being able to "lean and mount" just like in Modern Warfare, which won't be a part of Black Ops Cold War's multiplayer experience. They'll be uniquely distinct.

That doesn't mean that there won't be major changes to Warzone, of course. That was already confirmed during Black Ops Cold War's reveal. Warzone will introduce new weapons and vehicles, as well as cosmetics that are pulled directly from Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch even said that the Verdansk map will continue to be used, though it will be "evolved" in some way, too.

Henderson says that they have actually reported on this topic before, so they seem to still be confident that the information is accurate. To repeat, however, this information has not been confirmed by Treyarch as of yet. It could be entirely false. Henderson doesn't even provide a reference to a source for the information. It does make a lot of sense, though. Games as massive as Warzone aren't reinvented in a year's time, especially when they're performing so successfully.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans likely won't have to wait long to learn more about the future of the battle royale or what Treyarch plans to change, if anything. With Black Ops Cold War launching in just two short months there's so much to talk about and so little time left.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases November 13 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a PS5 version also in development.
