Many streamers and pros have been voicing their opinions on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta. While fan reception remains mixed, Shroud has a new comment to add to the conversation. After revisiting Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's beta shortly after his alpha experience, he has a lot to say about a new game mode.

Shroud and many other streamers have been unimpressed with the new title. While many Call of Duty League professionals are positive about the game, certain high-profile streamers remain skeptical. For many, the game is simply repetitive, but others see deeper problems in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta formula.

Shroud loaded up the game and set up his standard settings. After making up some loadouts, he noticed that the guns are pretty much the same, so the loadouts are the same. Once loaded into a game he explored the map Miami, and although he did have some problems at the start, he eventually got the hang of the game and begun exploring the map.

One feature that he was happy to see removed was the "super sprint" option that appeared in Modern Warfare. With this gone he only had one problem, the map was much bigger than expected. After playing through a couple of rounds he found that gun balancing needed to be improved, but left with the echoed opinion that it is the same general game.

This did not heat up until he entered the new Fireteam: Dirty Bomb game mode. It seems that Shroud hadn't seen the trailer or overview of the game mode, but that isn't what frustrated him. After playing for a few minutes he quickly made the statement that he was "not a fan of this game mode."

One feature he was immediately against was armor. Calling the armor a "no-no no-go," he suggested that the developers simply increase HP. The issue is that armor does not regenerate, so even if a player wins a fight they are left with less protection and will be more vulnerable in the next gunfight situation. Still, there was no super sprint, so he at least had that to appreciate.

Other than that, Shroud held his comments mainly due to not playing the beta very much. While fans are excited to see Shroud take on the next title, he seems to be as unimpressed as some others in the Call of Duty streaming community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
