Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3 may have only launched yesterday, but Zombies fans have already made several discoveries in Outbreak. One of these is a reference to the Ronald Raygun meme that made the rounds after Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War revealed the presidential cameo.

This is not the first time that Treyarch has embraced meme culture in its latest outing of Call of Duty Zombies. Shortly after the game launched, players discovered the Coffin Dance easter egg in the Die Maschine Survival map. A nod to the meme of the same name, Zombies could be seen carrying a crate of rewards like a coffin as they danced to the center of the Pack-A-Punch area. Eventually, the crate was set down, allowing players to loot its contents.

Unfortunately, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans may have a slightly harder time triggering the Ronald Raygun easter egg. Entirely random, there is no way to guarantee that the special character will appear. Players will know when Ronald Raygun has spawned, however, as he has a distinct look that sets him apart from the rest of the undead enemies. Wearing what looks to be a suit of some kind, it is the Zombie’s massive pink mohawk that serves as a dead giveaway.

As shown by Reddit user ZBatou4U, the special enemy drops the coveted Ray Gun Wonder Weapon. While this would be an amazing reward at any round, it is particularly interesting considering that the player is only on the first World Tier. Ray Guns do not drop consistently until Tier 7 or higher, with any earlier drops being extremely rare. However, it seems like players now have another way to get the original Wonder Weapon. With a bit of luck, Ronald Raygun could appear early on.

A random spawn seen amongst regular Zombies, players may want to be thorough when searching through an area. It is also worth noting that Ronald Raygun can spawn in any region, including the new Duga map. While players will still need some RNG luck to get the special enemy to spawn, they have the chance to find him at any time. According to Redditors like Mangos_for_sale, Ronald Raygun does not seem to be incredibly rare, making it likely for players to stumble across the enemy at least once every few matches.

With Outbreak’s radio easter egg added last season, and a main quest on the way later in Season 3, the mode is beginning to feel even more interesting as time goes on. While it may not have as many easter eggs as a dedicated Survival map, Treyarch is clearly doing its best to expand on the mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
