Rumors have been swirling for months that Activision plans on revealing Call of Duty 2020, rumored to be titled Black Ops Cold War, in the Warzone battle royale. Now the teases are starting to ramp up, and a prominent Call of Duty franchise leaker has potentially revealed where exactly in Warzone the reveal will take place.

According to Twitter account ModernWarzone, which has accurately leaked Call of Duty news in the past, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal will actually take place in Warzone's Gulag. The Gulag, for the uninitiated, is where players go when they initially die in the battle royale. In the Gulag, players have to win a one on one fight to earn their way back into the battle royale itself, giving them another chance at victory.

However, the Gulag exists on the battle royale map itself, albeit in a slightly altered form, and it's found at the Prison area. This is notable because one of the secret changes Infinity Ward made to Call of Duty: Warzone with the big Season 5 update was adding new architecture to Prison. This includes big black spikes on the roof, as well as some kind of antenna equipment. It's possible that this  Black Ops Cold War reveal, and that the reveal will happen at the Prison location, not in the Gulag that players visit when they die in a match.

In the meantime, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War teases actually seem to have started within Warzone itself. Some players have randomly started receiving in-game messages that warn them to "Know your history" with some other words in Russian that roughly translate to "doomed to repeat it." It's possible that there are even more Black Ops Cold War teases hidden within the Warzone battle royale, so fans should explore the map thoroughly.

Initially, it was theorized that the Stadium access code and the associated easter egg were part of a Black Ops Cold War tease, but fans later discovered that it's seemingly unrelated. Instead of getting any kind of tease for Black Ops Cold War, completing the Warzone Stadium easter egg gets players the Enigma weapon blueprint as well as a bunch of high-tier loot, plus a fireworks show.

However the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal happens, CoD insiders seem convinced that it will take place within the Warzone battle royale, and so CoD fans will definitely want to keep an eye out.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
