Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be rolling out on November 13, and there have been a number of announcements to build up anticipation before the game's release. This includes details on the campaign, weapons, loadouts, multiplayer, and Black Ops Cold War's Zombie Mode. Now more details reveal the PC specs needed to play the game at launch.

The latest information comes from the Call of Duty blog, which reveals the minimum PC requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players already got a good look at what the game will be like on the PC with the recent PC launch trailer in 4K resolution, uncapped frame rate, and everything else. After the trailer launched the blog released a breakdown of features players can expect from the game on PC, especially the minimal specs to run Black Ops Cold War.

Here are the minimum PC requirements according to the blog breakdown:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-Bit (v. 1803 or higher)
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4343 or AMD FX-6300
  • RAM: 8GB RAM
  • HDD(at launch): 50GB (MP Only), 175GB (all game modes)
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670/GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon HD 7950
  • DirectX 12 compatible system Required
  • Broadband Internet Connection Required

The breakdown also provides other recommended PC specs for different settings including one for Ray Tracing, for Competitive, and Ultra RTX specs. The recommended operating system is the same Windows 10 64 Bit with the latest update for all specs. The CPU selections stays within the latest Intel or newest AMD CPUs but goes through higher builds with each spec. The minimum RAM needed is 12GB for the Recommended specs with the rest needing 16GB of RAM.

The various specs need 175GB of space for HDD except Ultra RTX needing 250 GB while video cards rely on Nvidia GeForce through and through with Radeon as an alternative for Recommended and Competitive specs. The 4K graphics and uncapped frame rate, the photo-realistic RTX shadows, extra info on the Nvidia DLSS technology, the ultra wide and multi-monitor support, and Black Ops Cold War's cross-play.

The Call of Duty blog emphasizes how the customization options for Black Ops Cold War on PC made possible by the collaboration between Treyarch, Beenox, and other game studios to fine tune the game. All the studios worked together to bring over 200 individual settings for PC players to work with. Most of which include the graphics and audio settings, interface sliders, keybindings, and ability to play the game with a controller on PC.
