Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has received what might just be its final intel drop as part of Season 6, and some fans are already scouring the maps for the collectibles. With Treyarch mentioning that it would further set up Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombies mode with these items, it is not too shocking that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may have revealed the mode’s take on perks.

Fans have been particularly interested in Call of Duty: Vanguard’s perk designs. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s emphasis on perks and perk upgrades made them a crucial part of the experience, with Treyarch going the extra mile to fully redesign the machines and the drinks within them. While it made sense to make the perk-a-colas into cans for the game, as it was set during the 1980s, it would make a lot less sense for cans to feature in a World War 2 setting. Fortunately, it seems like that will not be the case.

While it would certainly fit with the theme to make Call of Duty Zombies perks into canteens, it seems like Treyarch is going another direction with its iconic beverages. Reddit user HLVR showed off a new Artifact found hidden away in one of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies experiences. Dubbed an Archaic Goblet, the design is terrifying, though the more interesting thing is the shield on the Goblet’s forehead.

As HLVRD points out in the comments, the shield perfectly matches the one used for Call of Duty Zombies’ perk emblems. As such, it is easy to imagine a scenario where this empty shield is replaced with one of the perk logos, with players drinking things like Jugger-Nog and Quick Revive from the specially marked Goblets. Redditor _Corvus_ also makes the great suggestion to have the eyes glow so they match the color of the perk being drank.

Outside of this Goblet boasting a very suspicious, perk-like shape on its head, the design perfectly lines up with the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies leaks. In the new game, perks will supposedly be called “Demonic Fountains.” Further, Treyarch has officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies will focus on Nazi occultism. As such, it is easy to imagine a scenario where players fill their goblet at these fountains, getting a good look at the perk’s logo as they take a sip of the drink.

Clearly, this Call of Duty Zombies intel has gotten the community talking. While there is a chance that this Goblet is not actually used in Call of Duty: Vanguard, a lot of signs are pointing to it playing a very specific role.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
